As we sit in the story of Matthew 26:6–13, we see what a surrendered life looks like (and we even get a glimpse of the fruit of a surrendered life) as we learn from Mary.

Today we see people plotting against Jesus, and yet he somehow manages to not only avoid a trap, but actually point people to God.

What does it mean to truly be great? This is the question Jesus unpacks with his disciples, after being asked if a couple of them could sit next to him once he is on his throne.

In Matthew 14, Jesus comes to His disciples in the middle of a storm, walking on the water and revealing His power over the forces that might terrify us. When Peter steps out of the boat in faith, he discovers both the strength of trusting Jesus and the danger of taking his eyes off Him.

Jesus said that faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains—not because of the size of our faith, but because of the greatness of our God in whom we place it. This faith is choosing to trust God in the middle of uncertainty and taking the next step even when we cannot see the whole path. Today we get to join James, John, and Peter in experiencing Jesus being transfigured before their eyes. What does this have to do with us? EVERYTHING!

Today we spend time in Matthew 10, where Jesus first sent his disciples out in the world. As we dive in together we notice that Jesus prepares us, give us practical help, shares precautions, and encourages us with promises straight from His heart.

Today we hear Bob's final message before he and Judy retire to Florida and see what Jesus has in store for them in that region. What would your final words be to a group you had spend many years with? Bob has considered this, and his final words are straight from John 15, which just so happens to be some of Jesus final words before he was arrested and killed. Join us now!

Jesus flips the crowd’s idea of family upside down. He says God’s family is bigger than blood relatives. Anyone who follows God belongs at His table.

Jesus heals a demon-possessed man, which amazes the crowd. The Pharisees, who are trying to see Jesus killed, accuse Him of using demonic power - hoping the crowds will stone him for them...but Jesus exposes the flaw in their logic, teaching that a divided kingdom cannot stand! Are you weary? Jesus invites all who are weary, tired, and burdened to find rest in him - taking His yoke instead of any other yokes the world OR we would put on our metaphorical shoulders.

Every person who calls on the name of Jesus is called a "Christian" or "Little Christ". So, with this in mind we are supposed to look like Jesus, by the power of his Spirit! Keep that fresh as we dive into Matthew's account of Jesus calling his disciples.

Do you want to be blessed? Now, I am not suggesting a blessing necessarily in the eyes of the world, but in the eyes of Jesus. Now we find Paul appearing before King Agrippa and Governor Festus in a grand public hearing, and he uses the opportunity to share his testimony of encountering the risen Jesus and being called to preach to the Gentiles. As we dive into the text we look at how people respond to this approach by Paul, and what we can learn through the Holy Spirit's teaching us today.
