Picked up the template from last week, grabbed a couple of the guitar samples, switched the temp, rewrote all new patterns for drums and synths, restructured a new guitar progression, adjusted fxs chains, sidechains, filters, delay, reverb. This month finds me moving away from the OP-XY back to Ableton Move. This track was written and recorded at the beach away from the home studio. It's been left intentionally bare bones as I wanted to keep the vibe in the moment and also horrible time constraints. Covering for a co worker who just had a baby so working 10 to 13 hour shifts 5 days a week for the rest of June and into July X_X ....

I spent hours trying to make a song happen this week(end) and I failed. I was not fun. I wrote a few ok loops, an interesting introduction for an ambient track, I added details here and there. But no song. No track. Nothing I could make bloom. So I resigned myself to mix and upload an old demo I don't really like. Been busy this week and did not really have the time I wanted for this one, but I am quite happy with it anyway. Tried to incorporate some other VSTS here but had a lot of technical issues. Tried dialing back the reverb here a bit and worked a bit on the expressions/dynamics of the instruments. I had my hydrasynth away for repairs for the past few months, and it just got returned in a fixed state this week. So, I had some fun with adding it to an ambient piece this week. Tempera has a bunch of hydrasynth samples for an ambient bed and then I'm playing a rhythmic hydrasynth patch live over top of it all. Pleased with the result!
