Abe Landau went for a routine checkup in June of 2015 and was told he had not one, but two forms of cancer. At the same time. Abe discusses his diagnosis and how doctors approached treating two separate forms of cancer at the same time.

Katie Kennedy warns us—don’t wait until you’re 50 to get a colonoscopy. Katie had one and discovered she had colon cancer. At Dana-Farber, Katie was part of a clinical trial headed by Nancy Campbell, MS, that involved weight resistance. Essentially, Katie built muscle during her chemotherapy, which made her feel like a super hero throughout the process.

Cameron Conley is a 4-year old leukemia patient at the Jimmy Fund Clinic. Cameron’s parents Joe and Valerie talk to Dale and Keefe about the wild week in which they found out Cameron had cancer and Valerie was pregnant with their third child. They also discuss how their friends and family, along with the Jimmy Fund, rallied to help them in their challenging times.

Laurie H. Glimcher, MD, is the president and CEO of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Glimcher talks to Dale and Keefe about the involvement of Boston athletes in the Jimmy Fund as well as what specific research the Jimmy Fund funds and why that research is important for cancer patients.

Tim O’Keefe was first diagnosed with melanoma ten years ago, but experienced a relapse in 2016. A year later a scan revealed five tumors in his spine. Chloe Svolos was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma after her doctor thought a lump in her throat was probably not cancer, but wanted her to get it scanned anyway. Chloe received the diagnosis the same she and her boyfriend moved in together. Along with Chloe is Dr. Ann LaCasce, medical oncologist in the adult lymphoma program at Dana-Farber.

Celtics co-owner Steve Pagliuca joins Dale and Keefe as part of the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio Telethon to discuss the Celtics’ offseason and down year as well as his niece’s nine-year battle with cancer, which has been aided by the Jimmy Fund.

On Dale and Keefe, lung cancer patient Ryan Fox and her doctor Pasi Janne talk about the advancements in lung cancer research and a pill thats available for treatment of the disease.

Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jimmy Cefalo joins Dale and Keefe to comes forward and speak for the first time about his myeloma cancer, hiding his diagnosis, and the fear it caused him. Plus, Cefalo weighs in on the state of the Dolphins, their new head coach Brian Flores, and their quarterback situation.
