We Couldn't Help But Wonder - A Journey Through Sex and the City

It's just a few hours from where we left off in the previous episode and two of the girls have major news. Charlotte is engaged to Harry, and Berger broke up with Carrie via a Post-It. Samantha has some advice for how Smith should handle relationship questions in his first big TV appearance, and Miranda has an epiphany after fitting into her "skinny" jeans.

There's a lot of change happening here.  Samantha is helping to turn Smith into star, Miranda has to make some changes either at work or at home, and Carrie and Charlotte find themselves in surprising places in both of their relationships. Also, Peter Hermann...

Carrie and Berger take a big step, and Carrie discovers a secret Berger is keeping. Samantha decides to help Jerry pursue his passion. Charlotte deals with the aftermath of her breakup. And Miranda f@#ks up Debbie "B." It's hilarious and heartbreaking. 

Berger meets the girls, Samantha learns something real about Jerry, Charlotte makes dinner, Carrie and Berger use the "L" word and Miranda tries out a new catch phrase. Some of it goes okay, some of it goes great, and some of it goes very not well. 

Carrie goes to Berger's apartment for the first time, Samantha hooks up with the Raw waiter again, Charlotte converts, and Miranda also has a story line, but here's what this episode is really about. Carrie and Berger's relationship continues, with one maybe not so minor issue. Meanwhile Miranda is in a relationship with her television (Mike is so a Miranda), Charlotte has decided to convert to Judaism, and Samantha has her sights set on the hot waiter serving the not hot food. Plus, Elise finally gets to see her doppelgänger. 

Elise and Mike are back for Season 6! Carrie is looking forward to her first date with Berger, Charlotte is thinking about making a huge decision involving her ongoing relationship with Harry, Samantha strikes up an affair with a hot and informed guy in her building, and Miranda comes to a sudden and dramatic realization involving Steve.  

First we have Season 5 in as many minutes and then Elise and Mike breakdown the journey of this, our shortest season, though there's much to discuss.  This was a season where all four of the ladies really had to take a look at who they are and what they want. And just wait until Season 6...  

It's the final episode of Season Five!  Carrie sees an old friend and then an almost-fling.  Charlotte thinks it might be time to get serious with Harry, but there's an obstacle she didn't see coming.  And both Samantha and Miranda realize they might still be dealing with relationships past. Cue the butterflies...

It's the penultimate episode of Season 5!  Carrie travels to San Fransisco via train on a book tour, but really to hook up with Big.  Samantha goes along, but may be in the middle of an existential crises.  Charlotte tries out a "sex only" relationship, and Miranda talks on the phone at one point.  All aboard!

This episode starts at a cabaret and ends in a farmers' market. How New York. In between Charlotte lawyers up and deals with Bunny face to face, Samantha breaks a "neck massager" and does some babysitting, Miranda meets the mom next door and gets a haircut, and Carrie gets a book review and is the victim of a "face and run." Also, Mary Testa!    

It's Carrie's book party!  Miranda brings a blast from the past, Charlotte's plus one bails at the last minute, and Samantha arrives after having some face work done.  Tiny cakes and Cosmos for everyone!

The ladies are going on a vacation!  To (not) celebrate Charlotte's 30something birthday all four women head to Atlantic City.  Miranda enjoys gambling but mostly wants to go to her room, Charlotte gives herself an extreme makeover hoping that someone with buy her a free drink, Samantha keeps a watchful eye on Richard and comes to a major decision about their relationship, and Carrie ponders a dra...

Carrie's editor has surprising good news. Samantha is giving Richard a second chance. Steve asks Miranda if they can baptize Brady, which leads to Miranda meeting Steve's "Ma" for the first time. And Charlotte drags Carrie to a self help seminar only to admit she's starting to lose faith. Plus, two guest stars that Elise actually recognized!

Elise and Mike are back with the first episode of Season Five, unofficially called "(Almost) Everyone Shows Their Boobs!" Carrie deals with the ups and downs of her one true love, Samantha confronts her ex in more ways than one, Charlotte tries to figure out who she really is, and Miranda dives into motherhood giant boobs first. Did we mention there are boobs?  Ahoy!

If you think the medley of quotes at the end of Season Three was something else, just you wait.  Plus Elise and Mike take a deep breath and then work their way, free association style, through all of Season Four, and man oh man, it was a doozy.  All the breakups, meet ups, and babies (okay, there was just one baby) in just about 45 minutes.  Enjoy, and we'll see you again in Season Five.

It's the final episode of Season Four and so much is happening.  Someone is leaving, a new character is arriving, a recent divorcee is trying to date again, and another character is about to get her heart broken.  Elise and Mike have a lot to say about all of it and I think everyone can agree there are far too many musical theatre references.  As this season ends, a new season has begun.

It's the penultimate episode of Season Four!  Carrie has a new job, Charlotte is throwing Miranda a last-minute baby shower, and Samantha is putting a little celebration together for Richard's birthday.  A little party of three. (Just don't call him "daddy").

This is one of m'favorites!  Aidan has officially moved out and leaves an envelope containing, well, not what Carrie thinks it will contain, forcing her to take a look at her life and finances. Meanwhile, Charlotte is also taking a look at her life, Miranda is feeling frisky while pregnant, and Samantha has Richard's personal shopper take a little liberty with the gift card signing. Best and Love,...

Charlotte takes up tap, Samantha catches monogamy, Miranda gets a sonogram, and Carrie and Aidan...  I can't really talk about it.

Carrie makes a new friend, Samantha makes a stunning declaration, Miranda runs into a coworker in a very unusual place, and Chalotte and Trey come to a startling conclusion.  It's an episode that really sets up the rest of the season and Elise and Mike have a lot to say about it.

Carrie and Aidan's move in causes come tension in the Bradshaw/Shaw household, but nothing compared to the Park Avenue residence of Charlotte and Trey.  Meanwhile Samantha is resisting any romantic entanglements with her boss and Miranda has what she considers one last chance for sex before becoming a Mom.  Also, that's Elise belching at the start of the episode.  Sorry, and you're welcome.

Some major decisions are being made.  Carrie has to decide how to respond to more than one proposal from Aidan.  Miranda and Steve have to decide how to deal with impending parenthood.  Charlotte and Trey have to decide how and if to move forward with their fertility issues.  And Samantha has to decide if she should hook up with Mr. Right… er, Wright.  (Spoiler, she totally does)

There is a lot to cover here.  Both Charlotte and Miranda have major news.  Miranda's development sends Carrie on a journey into her own past.  Meanwhile Samantha wants a really big, really expensive accessory and she drops her recent client's name (Lucy Liu) to get it.  Things are about to get very serious...
