We All Go Forward
We All Go Forward is a podcast about self-leadership through setbacks. Simply put, setbacks are undesirable, unexpected outcomes. They’re inevitable. Some are truly negative experiences. Others, though initially perceived as such, become welcomed (necessary, even) experiences once viewed from the right vantage point. Regardless of their nature, the only way through any setback is through it. A great indicator of life and vitality is movement. When setbacks render us inactive while life around us continues to move along its ever progressing, ever developing path, we feel resistance & fatigue. I...

DAVID: A Mother's Journey With Grief 09.07.2026 1:08:46
#022- Disclaimer: Today's episode includes sensitive topics that may be triggering to some listeners. Listener discretion is advised. I think we can all agree that there is no pain like the loss of a loved one. The loss of a child, however, becomes uniquely difficult because it seems to go against the natural progression of life, order, and time. The size of the wound it leaves...unimaginable...
BONUS: Fun Fact! Sharks Break Camp Too 09.07.2026 4:48
#021--Let's learn a fun fact about sharks! Did you know sharks "break camp"? If you don't believe me, take a listen:) And here's another fun fact: Historically, we shared fun facts on this podcast because 1) my son (Mathieu) loves fun facts and used to share them constantly and 2) I wanted a way to add some true Kimberly quirk/style to this podcast. The facts were supposed...
Why We Quit In "The Middle" & 5 Tips To Prevent (Part 4: Breaking Camp Devotional Series) 02.07.2026 1:06:58
#020- The hardest place to be...is in between. Because you don't intuitively grasp how close you are to that open door you've been working so hard to enter. As a result, giving up becomes so tempting & can feel necessary. But that's an untruth!! You don't have to turn back--and with a little help and some grace...you won't :) In the final & 4th part of this series,...
Chasing Everything But The Real You (Part 3: Breaking Camp Devotional) 08.05.2026 52:49
#019- Part 3 of this devotional is my favorite. It speaks to one of our deepest needs as human beings-- Acceptance. When we make mistakes, I think we all resort back to the fundamental concern of "will someone still love or want me?"; more so, we ruminate on "will GOD still love/want me?" It may sound like an elementary thought but I assure you this episode uncovers some creati...
I Missed My Chance (Part 2: Breaking Camp Devotional) 09.04.2026 36:32
#018- We're back with part 2 of our devotional series (spiritual content). Let's talk another aspect that makes "breaking up" hard. When we leave things behind (a mistake, a position, a relationship, etc) we're leaving what feels familiar & secure . It doesn't matter if it's killing us slowly...we "know" it, so we commit. The thing is, when God now...
The Guilt of Struggling with God (Part 1: Breaking Camp Devotional) 09.04.2026 17:42
#017- Welcome to the Breaking Camp Devotional Series--where we'll discuss various hardships we may experience when we're breaking up with mistakes, yes... but honestly, when breaking up with anything or anyone . Maybe you're good at closing certain chapters but I assure you, if you're human, you will find that one "ending" that simply hurts and feels like a struggle t...
How I Lost $30,000 (Breaking Up With Your Mistakes) 26.02.2026 1:30:34
#016- You ever make a mistake? Well, let's go back in time to a not-so-fun moment in my life--the time a mistake cost me $30k. That's right...you read that correctly. Not $30, not $300, but 30,000 big ones. And if you think that's the biggest shocker, you're wrong. Because the circumstances around why I lose it are truly what make this moment painful. What did I do with that p...
I Got Work Done: Why Work Done On Me, Not By Me, Wins Every Time 05.02.2026 48:37
#015- We're baaaacccckkkk! In this kickoff, I take us on a bit of an emotional (& spiritual) journey. This episode is a great representation of what to expect from Season Two: Transparency & Healing. I'm not sure why, but...it's time. Our last episode was June 2024 (cringe). You'll get a great sense of what life was like from then til now. Let's catch up, laugh,...

The Unplanned Plan with Dr. Johanne Louis (Part 1) 28.05.2024 1:04:44
#013- Adaptability: The ability to adjust and respond quickly to changing factors, conditions or environments. Today, Dr. Johanne teaches a master class in it. Born & raised in Haiti surrounded by family and security, her life changes when she moves to the United States at the age of 6 to join her mother (someone she had no recollection of) & a father who seems quite indifferent towards he...
Get G.O.O.D. with Goal Setting! 03.04.2024 32:14
#012- We've all heard the famous Benjamin Franklin quote: "If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail!" I think we all even understand his point--that achieving success requires a plan. But do we understand what our plan must include? In this episode, we use the G.O.O.D. Model for goal setting to explore the true and scientifically-supported thought that success requires not only...
Sort Your Life with The Simple Sorter (Karen Longenecker) 19.03.2024 1:11:58
#011- It's Spring time!! Season changes are great indications of shifts. Clearing out the old. Making room for the new. It sounds great but it's actually quite the task. A task that requires (you guessed it) self-leadership, but also, per our lovely guest, bravery:) Did you know there's a correlation between being organized and being successful? Organization forces you to set goals,...
I'm Not "Heavy" No More with John Groce 20.02.2024 1:45:36
#010- Weight...a word that represents our physical mass as well as the burdens we bear in all aspects of life. We can all think of a moment in time when we simply got used to carrying around excess. And boy was (or is) it heavy. In this episode, we speak with husband, father, teacher & fitness/nutrition enthusiast, John Groce. He's no stranger to the impact food addiction can have on you...
Organize Your Chaos with Janet Bernstein 06.02.2024 1:03:24
#009- In the conversation of setbacks, it takes honesty to accept that at times we're set back in life solely because we're unorganized. Whether it's our lack of preparation, or unorganized closets; our cluttered drawers or our never ending lists of tedious tasks--We can quite literally find ourselves drowning in a sea of chaos. But (and there's always a but)... what if we coul...
STOP WASTING TIME in 2024! 25.01.2024 47:31
#008- Time is money! But time is also LIFE. That's it. That's the description. Everyday we spend time like we spend dollars. Sure, the "time bank" gets reloaded daily. But the withdrawal from your life is final. It's one & done. Don't let that depress you. Let that motivate you!!! In this episode, we discuss time management. What is it? Why is it important? And...
Love, Parenting, & Marriage with OkHezday (Dora Hesdie Josias)! 09.01.2024 1:42:53
#007- No one opts for a setback, right? Wrong! We opt for them all the time--in the form of relationship. Dharius Daniels, author of Relational Intelligence, writes "Your greatest gifts walk into your life on two legs". Inherent in that statement is the fact that often, our greatest hindrances walk into our lives the same way. When a hindrance walks in, will we direct ourselves accordin...
Part Two: The Attitudes of Progress 27.12.2023 1:09:27
#006- In this episode, we explore 8 additional attitudes needed for progress in life. That's right, 8! Who knew that many attitudes existed? We take a deep dive into addressing how our thinking is reflected in everything from how we look/show up in our world to how we pursue opportunities, and even how (or if) we share opportunities. It's intense but in all the best ways. In this season...
The Attitudes of Progress 28.11.2023 49:21
#005- Attitudes. We all have them. We often see them as isolated expressions of how we're feeling or dispositions we take on for the day depending on our good fortune (or lack thereof). But our attitudes are rooted in our belief system and can be a lifelong tendency. They play a huge role in our progress because our attitudes show up in our behaviors. In this episode, we start the journey of...
My Setback Saved My Life with Joelle Meristal 14.11.2023 1:23:56
#004- Identity can be just as much an area of struggle as it is an area of growth, acceptance & contentment. Often, deep reflection may reveal that what we're labeling "identity" is anything but. When fundamental needs like love, acceptance, & validation are not met or maintained from the proper source, we can find ourselves attempting to fill that tank with the unsustainabl...

#003- In this episode, we tackle Part Two of preparing for surprises. We get hands on with practical steps to actually work through our setbacks. Yay! Due to the unpredictable nature of setbacks, we can fall into the trap of believing success must be too. On the contrary, life respects laws & principles. That's our path to success. So even when surprises happen, even when we're not...
Be Prepared for Surprises! 14.09.2022 32:20
#002- "Life comes at you fast"--a saying that's just as applicable to the good, as it is, the bad. Equally applicable; Not equally enjoyable. A fast and unexpected "Surprise!" often accompanies feelings of euphoria in the setting of a party, a winning lottery ticket, or good gifts. In the setting of a setback...well "surprise" just feels like life is being plain...
Embracing Setbacks 26.05.2022 42:52
#001- Welcome to the journey of tackling the inevitable nature of hard moments, also known as setbacks. We learn how to define them and through what vantage point to view them; because without awareness and diagnosis, there can be no prescription. More importantly, I address why we must embrace these setbacks and the garden of progress/vitality our lives yield if we do. In this episode, I hope to...
