Water Girls

Avid listeners will know Marieka has been predicting an Orlando Pride championship win for months. Turns out she does know what she's talking about. We spend most the episode discussing our experience at Fanfest and the game. We reflect on the season while Marieka gets in one more rant about the refs before we conclude our successful first season of Water Girls!

We know it's been a minute, but we return with special guest, Pineapple Kurt! We talk the Spirit win against Bay FC in the first round of the playoffs, discuss favorite moments from the regular season, and just chat before Kurt drops some breaking news! ....at least for us, others probably already knew :)

The Spirit beat Racing Louisville on Oct. 13, 4-1. Ashley Hatch continued her streak converting PKs. Which led us to have an actual session with her mental performance coach, Matt Moore. We tell you all about how we have now also become experts in the topic! :)

The Spirit win in LA despite a lot of players on the injury report. Ashley Hatch scored early and Makenna Morris scored late to propel the Spirit to a 2-1 win over Angel City. As the only one of the pair to watch the full game, Amy, gives her analysis of the game. And we end the episode with a surprise announcement for Marieka.

Alex Morgan played her last game. Ashley Hatch scored twice in the Spirit's 3-0 win over Houston. And Marieka isn't mad at any refs this week. Mostly Casey Murphy for blocking Alex's last ever PK attempt. But love all around outside of that moment :)

Croix is out with a season ending injury and Alex Morgan retired from soccer. The Spirit do it again with a stoppage time goal to win the game. Should players be able to comment how they truly feel about the referees performance? Well, until then, Marieka will hold it down and let us know how the ref did Saturday.

The Spirit tied the Wave, 1-1, all thanks to a Wave player scoring once for each team. Very thoughtful....or mindful as the young kids are saying. Plus we discuss how standings and leader boards are shaping up toward the last third of the season and Amy goes on a tangent about refs based on a documentary she watched recently.

Our bestie Fran is here to help breakdown the double header at Audi. Spirit beat KC 4-1 and Chelsea beat Arsenal. Plus some random banter about our first meeting Fran at Ashley Hatch's Train Like a Pro event and we end with our thoughts on the upcoming games. :)

Marieka put on her reporter hat and attended the Arsenal open media practice. We break down the international friendly AND discuss how Heather Stainbrook's career has really started to take off after her interview on Water Girls! ...sorry about audio issues with Amy's mic. Next week we'll have this remote recording down :)

The US wins GOLD!! And the phrase everyone has been saying has been proven! We are really hyped and have lots of thoughts! ....we recorded remotely sorry for any audio issues :)

Whew! It took until overtime but Trinity delivered! Marieka may have lost years off of her life due to stress during the game, but all's well that ends well :) Let's get hype for the next game against Germany!

Let's gooooo!! Spirit won 4-2 against Angel City and 3-2 against Seattle Reign. Marieka gives an impassioned speech about how great the Spirit are....almost immediately followed by some critiques of allowing those Reign stoppage goals.
