Rebellion and Trust 30.05.2026 6:20
Saul did what others have done...take matters into his own hands. He was told to wait for Samuel to come and sacrifice to the Lord, but he feared the people more than fearing the Lord or the prophet of the Lord. The disciples discussed who the greatest would be quietly following behind Jesus...but then Jesus asked what they were discussing. They sheepishly answered, knowing immediately they had th...
Manifestations of the Spirit....but are they gifts too? 28.04.2026 21:55
When I hear people talk about the "gifts" of the Spirit they have, I will often hear the manifestations of the Spirit listed in 1 Corinthians 12. Most Christians have a list that is an amalgam of various passages from Romans 12 to Ephesians 4. I suggest that this is a misnomer, and creates a bit of confusion when trying to explain the 5 fold ministry, or where overseers/elders fall into...
Training Godliness 25.03.2026 1:07:25
Paul instructs Timothy to "train yourself in godliness", but what does that look like? What is "godliness"? Paul instructs Timothy to "pursue righteousness, faithfulness, love, and peace, in company with others who call on the Lord from a pure heart". When we devote ourselves to these actions and lifestyles, we are presenting "godliness" to the world and kee...
Is it Pastor, or Elder....or.....Overseer? 24.03.2026 17:49
When most think of church, they think Pastor as the primary leadership and covering of the people. Such an important role should have a guide, like deacons, elders, and overseers have in various letters from Paul to Timothy or Titus. Yet, when we search, there is only one mentioning of Pastor in the New Testament, found in the book of Ephesians. We see in the book of Acts, 1 Timothy, and Titus how...
F.E.A.R. 18.12.2025 5:54
F.E.A.R. An acronym I have used more and more over the years. What does it look like when we stop responding to fear in our emotions and start responding to fear with out faith. So often in our walk of faith and in life, if we are able to step back and approach the situation from another angle, we can be wise and successful. Spiritual Gifts Series Pt. 1 10.12.2025 30:17
When it comes to "spiritual gifts", there are many ways to approach the subject. I will be going thru various Scriptures to show a quick view of 3 lists from Romans, 1 Corinthians, and Ephesians. This episode is the first and perhaps my favorite list, the charisma "gifts" referenced in 1 Corinthians and listed, though not in full, in Romans 12. Join me as we do a quick overview...
What is our confidence in? 23.10.2025 8:09
We can hope for many things, and what our assurance of that hope rests in is so very important. In the Scriptures, we see that Israel was confident in their temple and their sacrifices, but was their hope misplaced? Are we caught in the same fallacy.....do we put our hope in our denomination, our pastor, our church, or anything else besides the mercy of Jehovah through the blood of Christ? Join me...
God Moved in Virginia! 04.10.2025 5:52
There are times when God moves and it just confirms how good He is to us. I was in Virginia for a niece's wedding and God directed, moved, and confirmed multiple times! It was amazing and I was given opportunity to bless a different congregation with exhortation. Join me on Spotify, ITunes, Amazon Music, and YouTube for more content.
Light in the Dark 26.09.2025 2:21
We are told by Jesus to let our light shine, but for a purpose...always for a purpose. We are not to be good, simply for the sake of goodness, or peaceful for the sake of peace. We are to let our light shine, so that our Father in heaven is glorified. A simple encouragement, but a needed one to those who are alone in the dark. Join me for other episodes on ITunes, Amazon Music, Spotify, and YouTub...
Love Covers a Multitude of Sins 18.09.2025 10:04
What should our approach, as leaders, be to those who don't meet our expectations? We might often think to ourselves, "How can this person not know better? Why aren't they as mature as I am?" How we handle those brothers and sisters struggling in their faith or obedience is crucial their growth and development. Let's take a look at 1 Peter 4:8, and how Peter's instruction...
Three Things I Wish I Knew... 11.09.2025 5:36
We can all think back to moments of asking to ourselves, "Why did I sign up for this?". I've been a youth pastor, sound tech, deacon, praise team leader, roadie for performing artists that have come in, videographer, preacher, teacher, and counselor......and there have been many times I've said the above question to myself. In ministry, if you've been at it long enough, you w...
Rebuking a demon....gone wrong? 25.08.2025 4:50
We've all been there, right? Outside at night, and you see some other wordly entity, taunting you and ready to attack. Very shortly after accepting the Call from Jesus, I had an encounter that would change my approach to spiritual warfare. Join me as I share a lesson learned the hard way. You can also watch or listen to longer episodes and more in depth study on my Podcast "Walking Word P...
Preciousness of the Gospel 14.08.2025 40:22
The primary function of fruit is to protect and disperse the seeds within the fruit, but how does our fruit do more than show the world we are Christians? How precious is the Gospel and why is it so important to protect it? How does the fruit of the Spirit protect and disperse the Gospel? Join me for a sermon discussing the interplay of fruit in our lives and the Gospel we are aiming to show the w...
In the Arms of an Angel 31.07.2025 7:44
There are times in our lives when we wish we could have an experience like we read in our Bibles. You know the kind........"and then an angel appeared to......." Of all the experiences I've had.....there was one that I can only explain as "entertaining angels unaware". In my twenties, almost dead, and in a coma for almost three days due to the flu and pneumonia.......I had...
Joy of Ecclesiastes 22.07.2025 8:01
Have you ever wondered what life is all about? What is the advantage of money, fame, influence, or fulfilled desire? Solomon took his vast wealth and power, and looked for satisfaction in those things and came to a surprising conclusion. Lets take a quick look at what a burden those can be and what a blessing those can be also.
Faith & Obedience 13.07.2025 13:49
Faith and obedience go hand in hand, they are two sides of the same coin. In Scripture, faith without works is dead.....but who's works makes your faith come alive? I would suggest that faith without obedience is what produces death, stagnant, and useless religion. We must understand obedience as the result of our faith and faith as the context of our obedience.
Gifts of the Spirit.....Do you have any? 08.07.2025 1:49:47
The Gifts of the Spirit ....a subject of much debate amongst the family of Christ. This episode deep dives into the various lists within Scripture that are often used to describe the Gifts of the Spirit . Are the lists connected? Are the lists, the full lists of every gift there is? Is the word gift even an appropriate translation? Why is it important to know a little Greek , when studying gifts?...
Athiest to Forgiven 27.06.2025 22:50
As long as I could remember as a child I always seemed different. I never felt connected to my family or friends. Extreme anger, depression, and violence is all i thought about and knew. I ended up at an altar the last day of youth camp, still an atheist, and still full of rage. This is my testimony. ITunes:https: //anchor.fm/s/10264d9dc/podcast/rss
Ezer Kenegdo 20.05.2025 41:41
Who was Eve, and who was she to Adam? We read she was a helper, a help meet for Adam, and given the same command as Adam to subdue, multiply, and have dominion. How does the creation story relate to husbands and wives and why does Jesus and Paul reference the creation story of Adam and Eve in reference to marriage? Candace, my wife, will teach on scripture says and how ezer is used in the Old Test...
Working Out Your Salvation...but not on an island 13.05.2025 14:28
What does it mean to "work out" your salvation? How much influence should those beside and above you have in your walk of faith? The misuse of this scripture has allowed for many to entertain practices that should never be a part of Christian living. We must allow ourselves to be corrected and we must only measure our walk by what we have done with what Christ has given us. This is the s...
The Greatest is the One Who is Sent 03.05.2025 13:31
I think we all want to be great, if not for ourselves, for those around us. When we look at the kingdom of heaven that Jesus describes and the kingdom of churches that I see in the modern west....there seems to be a mismatch. The disciples had the discussion on the way to Capernaum, and Jesus taught an important lesson on "the greatest" in response.
Restoration of Peter 25.04.2025 19:32
Peter, filled with shame and regret, went back to fishing. Where do we go, when we have failed the Lord? He is always engaging with us in a conversation of restoration, but we have to have that conversation to move forward. You are not too far gone, or out of reach from the Shepherd's hand. There is hope, found in His loving words. He will meet us where we are, but is always pushing us to move for...
Sovereignty 19.04.2025 31:20
What is sovereignty? What is our part in the kingdom of Heaven, if God is in control of everything? Jeremy and I look at what the scriptures say about what the Father's plans are for us and how to deal with the harshness of His plans at times. Join us in looking at the proper mindset for submitting to the plans of the Father.
Spiritual Gifts from a Romans 12 Perspective 08.04.2025 6:47
What is your gifting? What is charisma and how does the grace of the Father play into the your "gifting"? You may be surprised at what the Scripture says about your gifts, and what the Greek meaning is for the gifts we so often seek to have. This is a short video to explain and look at the Romans 12 list.
Accepting Your Calling 03.04.2025 50:18
What are you called to do in your life? What is the greatest invitation you've received in life? We so often concern ourselves with our "calling" in ministry....but what if I were to tell you that the call going out to us is far greater than any ministry or vocation we could do? Christ has given us an invitation to a new life, a wonderful family, and a purpose beyond ourselves. Jerem...
