The act of prayer empowered by God’s Spirit is the primary act that helps us bring about momentum in our lives. In this service, Steve Hambrick helps us focus our attention on what it means to be a people who pause and focus on Jesus so that our perspective moves away from the struggles of life, to hope in Christ.

We are beginning a series called "Encounter," about exploring the steps we are called to take into the movement of God's grace, focusing intentional time on the most important action we give ourselves to in life: prayer!

Logan Johnson looks at Jesus’ “Sermon on the Mount” and discusses what it truly means to be blessed. As we continue to look at this season of "Momentum," we look at how to keep our perspective locked on Jesus in the midst of our circumstances.

Josh Turner teaches on what we are called into when God doesn't do what we had hoped He would do.

This week, we will dive a little deeper into the wisdom teaching of Ecclesiastes. We will take a look into a life perspective that defines what is important, what is not, and the hope that is found when landing on true wisdom.

We will continue to focus on our statement from last week: “The only way to build spiritual momentum is by being a people who cultivate the presence of God in our everyday life.” We will talk about His presence, the things that keep us from pursuing it, and what we can do in response to it.

We take the next step in our "Momentum" series this Sunday as we talk about the fuel for momentum: the presence of God. We will talk about what it means to pursue God’s presence, how it impacts our life, and how we cultivate His presence in our lives. We believe this message around God’s presence is key to our personal, spiritual journey and the journey of our body at Vintage.

This week, Kurt Miller will unpack how saying yes to the call of God is worth it, though it is not always easy, and it doesn’t always feel glamorous. We must stay in the presence of God in order to hear and respond to His call.

Today marks our first conversation of 2022 around the word “Momentum," the word we feel God has given us as a staff and leadership team for this year. Today is the last Sunday of Advent. We will be focusing on the "arrival of joy," which may be the most important trait we will be looking at in the Advent season. Joy at its core fights back against many of the struggles we face in our culture today. We will be focusing on the definition of joy, it’s distinction from happiness, and take time to remember, re-center and reengage joy on a deep level...

As we continue to meditate on Advent this morning, we will focus on the "Arrival of Faith." Advent is not only about looking backward, but looking forward to the second advent when Jesus returns. As we wait for that advent, we can only be sustained through faith in Jesus.

As we finish our "Seek First" series this morning, we will look at how God empowers us to seek His kingdom by giving us grace through the Holy Spirit. Grace is not given to us so we can prove something to God, but rather in order that we would be empowered to pursue God and His kingdom.

This morning is our last week in our "Seek First" series. Our focus will be to use God's call in our lives to see the kingdom as a grid for everything in which we give ourselves.

We are in the home stretch of our "Seek First" fall campaign. This morning, Steve will talk about some practicals of kingdom living, how it impacts our lives, and shapes our decisions in life.

In our “Seek First” series, we have talked about many different aspects of the kingdom of God. This morning, we will go through the parable of the talents in Luke 19 and see what it means to be faithful stewards in a culture of compromise.

This morning, we are stepping week 7 of our Seek First, fall study as we look at the story of the rich, young ruler and Jesus call to allegiance in his kingdom and the removing of every obstacle keeping us from experiencing him fully.

This morning, Steve will shift gears in our "Seek First" series and begin looking at the practical expressions of the kingdom having come in Jesus. We will sneak a peak into Matthew 12:28, and then devote intentional time to Matthew 11:2-6 as we focus on the things Jesus celebrated as an expression of His kingdom having come.

This morning, Steve will continue our "Seek First" series by looking at our foundational call to acknowledge our need for God at all times. Further, we will learn to embrace Jesus’ call to be “poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” We will unpack these ideas and see how they apply to our daily life.

Today, we will continue our series “Seek First" and explore the future aspect of the kingdom. We will work to gain understanding of the kingdom that is coming and how it should motivate us to godliness today. We cannot “seek” God’s kingdom without a rightful understanding of His kingdom.

The “not yet” speaks to our disillusionment of God moving in a way that we would not expect: allowing suffering, all while preaching that God’s kingdom has come to earth in the person of Jesus.
