Legacy is a word that has the potential to bring the cringe factor.  Why bring up legacy?  Why dedicate a Sunday to it?  The apostle Paul calls us to be legacy builders, and this is a call that not only are we all able to be a part of, but we should be striving towards it.

Mark 15:1-15 What motivates us to wish harm on others? Even though we may feel justified, it takes a toll on us personally. When envy is allowed to control our actions, we get stuck in a destructive pattern.

 Sometimes the greatest impediment is the way we view the world around us. We can hold so tightly to our views that we miss the cage we’ve constructed for ourselves. Getting unstuck means leaning into God’s grace. 

Sometimes we are faced with a situation that leaves us infuriated. In that moment, the prospect of seeing things clearly is greatly diminished. We know that cooler heads often prevail, and with it the opportunity to get unstuck.

Today is Mother's Day, and we want to celebrate all the women who play significant roles in our lives.  We have a special message to bless, encourage, honour, and lift you up. God created a woman's heart to be a unique and caring reflection of His heart.  Roy Lessin, The Loving Heart.

Guilt and shame are a destructive duo. They not only get us stuck but also dig us into a very deep hole. Getting unstuck from this duo is not easy, but you’re never beyond God’s help.

 Sometimes it’s not more information that will help us, but clear thinking and a little courage that gets us unstuck.

Few pictures convey the contrast between power and humility like Jesus riding on a donkey.  More importantly, only Jesus can bring these two together for the benefit of a lost world.

Healing comes in many forms but few as powerful as forgiveness, especially when it's offered by God. His offer of forgiveness is not about erasing mistakes but of cleansing us to our very soul.

In the most unexpected of places, Jesus cast a picture for his disciples that at the time would have seemed almost impossible. Yet, over two thousand years later His words continue to fuel a movement that nothing on earth can stop.

 There are many paths to success in this world but only one in the parallel world of God’s kingdom. When it’s found, life blossoms in measures unfathomable.

 Many of us are taught to be persistent, especially with the things we are most passionate about. What if God honoured our persistence in the same way an earthly father did with his own children? 

Worry, anxiety, stress, this unholy trinity is wreaking havoc in many lives, so much so that’s its considered a modern epidemic. Is there a way to lessen their damage and foster a greater sense of peace?

Revenge rarely has an upside. It satisfies in a moment but perpetuates hate indefinitely. How do we break the cycle of payback when all we want to do is get even?

Marriage has always been in danger of being defined by our own preferences and needs. What if marriage is so important to God that His definition and desire runs counter to ours?

 One of our basic human tendencies is to respond in frustration and anger. Rarely do we receive a sympathetic hearing when we explode and the consequences are often destructive.

 Our lives are being shaped continually. Whether it’s by the culture around us, or the people closest to us, our lives are being molded by outside forces. What if God intends for believers to be instruments for shaping the world around us? 

 When we think of being blessed we think of receiving a divine gift. What if receiving a blessing from God is more about being something as opposed to getting something. 

A New Year brings new prospects and new perspectives. In this opening message of 2019, we want to bring you something fresh and inspiring, and hopefully avoid the typical first of the year messages.
