Matthew's genealogy points to God's faithfulness across generations, culminating in Jesus, the Messiah. This genealogy connects Jesus to promises fulfilled through imperfect people, showing that He came through sinners and for sinners, as the promised Savior. Jesus' royal lineage through David fulfills God's promise of an eternal kingdom through David's heir. Unlike previous kings, Jesus is the enduring King who reigns forever, fulfilling the unconditional "Davidic Covenant" by God's faithfulness alone. Matthew traces Jesus' lineage to Abraham, who God promised that his offspring would bless all nations. Abraham's obedience in offering Isaac prefigures Jesus' sacrifice. Jesus, Abraham's descendant, is the promised blessing, sacrificing Himself for humanity's sins. "We need a Passport to obey God's will." Our lives are nothing compared to the mission of the Gospel of Grace that God gave. The Gospel compels us to reach the nations. (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, Revelation 5:9-10)

"We need a Bible to know God's will." Eternal life comes through the Son, Jesus Christ. Knowing Him is part of living out this life. We know the Son through His word, and His word sanctifies us and reveals His heart for the nations. (Genesis 1:26-28, Hebrews 2:9, Revelation 7:9-10)

Our generosity fulfills God’s purpose which results in a harvest of righteousness, meeting the needs of others, and overflowing thankfulness to God.

We will value what we invest our treasures in. One often neglected way of setting apart our hearts for God is through our giving. When we give to God and toward His kingdom, our hearts are directed toward Him and we learn to revere Him.

Everything belongs to the Lord, that's why we offer everything back to Him. Giving our firstfruits signifies our commitment to set all we have apart for Him. While tithing doesn't eam God's blessings, it is our way of honoring Him which results in abundance of spiritual blessings and guidance in stewardship.

God, our righteous judge, instructs us to select leaders who will administer justice and calls/commands us to pursue righteous living.

God's generosity inspires generosity from us towards the poor.

God's heart of compassion is the foundation for our compassion.

As God's people, we are called to respond in good deeds and bring glory to God.

God added us to His church according to His will. We are God's people set apart for the Lord to be part of His church.

As the previous generation, David prepared the next generation to fulfill God's purpose.

Even as a king, David listened and heeded to God's word through others.
