In John 13:34–35, Jesus centers love as the defining commandment: love one another as I have loved you. Rev. David Miller suggests the real miracle of Easter is that Jesus' followers should be known not by doctrines of memorization, purity, prosperity, or power, but by love alone, "a radical redefinition of religious purpose and identity."
