Unapologetically Catholic
I am unapologetically Catholic and I hope you'll be able to see why! Growing up as a Protestant I was told a lot of things that the Catholic Church taught, only to later find out it either wasn't true or there was a misunderstanding of the teaching. I want to help shed light on what the Catholic Church actually teaches and believes. If you're curious about what Catholics believe, you're in the right place. Reach out to us on Instagram or send an email to unapologeticallycatholicpod@gmail.com!

Why Do Catholics Treat The SSPX and Protestants Different? 09.07.2026 12:17
The SSPX has officially been excommunicated from the Catholic Church. I have seen many Catholics express sorrow over this and rightfully so. This caused me to, almost immediately, think of our Protestant brothers and sisters. We need to extend that same desire of reunification we have with the SSPX to our Protestant brothers and sisters. Division within the body of Christ is never good and we shou...
The One Change I Was NOT Expecting When I Became Catholic 12.06.2026 10:03
As a Protestant who converted to the Catholic faith, there was a lot of change I was expecting in becoming Catholic. I studied the faith for about 8 years before converting to Catholicism so I was expecting a lot but not this. I knew how faith and works were understood in Catholicism but I learned I didn't FULLY understand that connection. In this video I talk through how truly understanding this...
Catholicism Isn't a Different Faith... It's The Fullness of Christianity 24.04.2026 9:57
Catholicism sometimes is seen as something that is completely different from Christianity, but that is not the case. Catholicism is the fullness of the Christian faith and in this video I talk about just that. Everyone desires truth and I've seen Protestants have a desire for the sacraments without even knowing it. I've experienced it myself too! If we can help our Protestant brothers and sisters...
Catholics Only Follow The Word of God 01.04.2026 16:11
This may be surprising but Catholics have the Word of God as their authority and it is the Word of God ALONE that is their authority. As a Protestant who converted to Catholicism, this was something that was truly eye opening for me. I thought that scripture was the only infallible rule of faith for the Christian but as I continued to study, I realized that couldn't be the case. Scripture is vital...
How To Pray Without Ceasing (Without Being a Monk) 19.03.2026 15:32
The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing, but is that REALLY possible? It can seem nearly impossible to do as normal people with busy lives. The truth is that praying always IS possible. In this video I talk through how I personally pray without ceasing as a dad of 7 children, with a full time job, running a YouTube channel and volunteering at my local parish. I also give some practical tips on...
When Faith FEELS Dead (Why It Might Be a Good Sign) 13.03.2026 15:12
Many Christians experience seasons where faith feels dead. This is feeling is no stranger to the Saints. St. John of the Cross writes about this very thing in his book "Dark Night of the Soul". If it feels like your prayer goes no higher than the ceiling, Mass feels like an absolute chore and theres a sense of extreme spiritual dryness, this video is for you. Although that feeling can be crushing,...

We discuss why people don’t wake up wanting to choose evil, but instead pursue what appears good in the moment. Drawing f...
How Questioning Sola Scriptura Led Me to Catholicism 09.09.2025 24:35
In this episode I discuss the two MAJOR reasons I could no longer agree with sola scriptura. My entire life I believed that scripture was the only infallible rule of faith until I started asking some questions on things that I always assumed were true and quickly realized, there were some major problems. This was the major turning point for me in my years long conversion process. What were some of...
Is Christ Re-Crucified at Mass? 07.08.2025 20:54
Subscribe to Unapologetically Catholic for more episodes like this! Is Christ re-crucified at every Catholic Mass? This is a common question and a misconception I had myself. In this video, I break down what the Catholic Church REALLY teaches the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is, and whether Christ is sacrificed again and again or if it was truly "once for all". I read from the Catechism of the Catho...
Would The Church Fathers Be Protestant Today? The Evidence Most Overlook 15.05.2025 21:44
This week I talk about the Church fathers and wether or not they would be Protestant today. It's not uncommon to hear some Protestants claim that some of the Church fathers like St. Augustine, St. Jerome and St. Clement of Rome believed in some Protestant doctrines such as faith alone and scripture alone. I think there are two main things to remember when we hear these claims about the Church fath...

How Sure Can You Be Of Your Salvation? 20.03.2025 28:37
In this episode I talk about how sure Catholics really can be about their salvation. I used to think Catholics couldn't know if they were truly saved or not. I also used to have this false since of hope that because I believed in a "once saved, always saved" soteriology, I was TOTALLY fine and KNEW for certain I was and would be saved, but that is not the case. Memento Mori! 07.11.2024 42:40
The month of November is for remembering your death and the death of those who have come before us. This may sound morbid, sad or like something we shouldn't talk or think about but as Catholics we should NOT shy away from keeping it top of mind for a few reasons. I discuss why we should remember our death and why it's important to remember those who have gone on before us and the ways we can do t...
Why it's NECESSARY that all Christians recognize Mary as the Mother of God 23.10.2024 36:46
As with all of the Marian Dogmas, these truths say more about Christ than about Mary herself. Mary IS the Mother of God and to deny this is to deny a reality of who Christ is. In this episode I cover what it does and does not mean for Mary to be the Mother of God and why the Church made this a Dogma or something that all faithful Catholics MUST hold to. Check out all things Unapologetically Cathol...
