Two-Headed Game Master

The GM has woven such a wicked web that the party is split on how to move forward. Some players want to back one side of the coup, other players disagree and it’s time for a seminar. One player thinks the evil magic staff should be turned over to the authorities, the others are like no way that’s stupid, probably time for a vote. www.2HGM.com Music: Pondhillow's Finest, The Burning Saviours

Some podcasts make a big deal out of 50 episodes, others make a big deal out of 100. We are just built different. To celebrate our 69th episode, we made an audio production of a short story set in our very own Afterlife TTRPG. www.2HGM.com Music: Pondhillow's Finest, The Burning Saviours

*in bad Jeff Foxworhty voice* If… If, if, if you are not allowing the story to move forward, you might be an obstinate player. Obstinate players can lessen the role-playing experience by taking away agency and time from other players, and derailing the game master.  www.2HGM.com Music: Pondhillow's Finest, The Burning Saviours

You leveled up! Congratz. Probably you have some new spells or powers…but how exactly did your character get those new shinnies? There are a lot of different narrative reasons or explanations for leveling up, and that is really cool.  www.2HGM.com Music: Pondhillow's Finest, The Burning Saviours

Another installment of the ‘How To’ series, but with a dope twist. Instead of breaking down a piece of media, we break down a common trope… the library! Should've been pretty obvious from the title. Libraries are all over fantasy and sci-fi stories, and we think they are pretty tubular. www.2HGM.com Music: Pondhillow's Finest, The Burning Saviours

Well last episode was exciting right? If it wasn’t really your bag, don't worry because we don't talk about it at all this episode. Just kidding, it's pretty much all we talk about. Our guests were gracious enough to stick around to discuss what it was like to play the evil guy. www.2HGM.com Music: Pondhillow's Finest, The Burning Saviours

In a mash up of several ideas, we discuss things we try to as GMs and stuff we’ve seen on the internet. Being a GM can sometimes feel like trying to entertain a bunch of rabid cats in a bathtub…jk we love our players! As the facilitator, responsibilities fall on the GM that the players don’t have to deal with. There’s some pretty obvious ones, but this episode is about the ones less obvious.  www....

The villain makes the story they say, well we say that. Villains come in all shapes and sizes, not all of them are ‘the big bad’. Sometimes the villain acts like a friend and reveals their betrayal at a critical moment, other times the villain rises from the dead to claim their power. Point is, there are a lot of ways to introduce a villain.    www.2HGM.com Music: Pondhillow's Finest, The Burning...

Fresh out of the recording studio, comes a TNT. Tips and tricks that is, this one is about writing a prompt for your players.
