Not only has this dope monster flick been around for some time, but it's super underappreciated... They don't make them like this anymore. So with me being a practical monster movie buff, I had to talk about and over this film. It's a "trapped in a bottle" type film. Enjoy, people.

It's Friday, folks... So there's no better time to discuss the history and the future of the the classic Friday franchise. With the recent passing of John Witherspoon, Ice Cube has stated that it's back to the drawing board with the current film, which may be hit or miss for the series. Here's my thoughts on the pros and cons of that, and more. Enjoy, y'all.

We keep forgetting that the beloved Resident Evil name is getting the old reboot treatment... So it dawned on me that I should remind folks that the HORROR is what should return to the brand name overall. I can't front like the original movie series isn't insanely entertaining, but it's not scary necessarily. So I chose to break down the recent films quickly, then express what I want from the next...

As I feel cuffing season is coming to a close, I had no choice but to cap it off with this underrated classic, which actually spawned just about every sub-genre film just like it. This is nothing shy of a classic in every sense of women doing anything to get their man, or get him dead. Enjoy, y'all.

I was a late bloomer to Ian Fleming's James Bond overall but when Goldeneye caught my attention, it was time to get savvy with the character in general... Safe to say, this is one of the coolest spies to ever tote a silenced pistol. Even though Pierce Brosnan is MY generational James Bond, I've decided that I need to give Daniel Craig the fair shot I haven't been giving him and his past few movies...

I'm not the biggest fan of the 1974 Black Christmas, and I actually prefer the 2006 remake over it for many reasons... But THIS. I didn't expect to be THIS disappointed in yet another remake of a remake. I'm not sure what type of holiday spirit Blumhouse was in when they decided to run with this, but this here would probably want to make Rudolph want to powder his red nose after watching. I'm a bi...

2018 gave me back The BoogeyMan himself, Michael Myers, after almost ten years... And I wasn't too disappointed, but I did have some complaints about his last go round trick or treating. Nonetheless I was impressed with how they handled this character overall. So with Mikey coming back for a night of nostalgic terror next year, I couldn't hold back any longer and decided to voice some opinions and...

I was not only a big fan of the 90s Power Rangers series (the earlier ones), but I was HUGE fan of the reboot that came out a few years back... I felt there was definitely some magic and true effort put forth with the acting and execution. But sadly, this is an era where if the money doesn't talk loud enough, the product gets the boot. Or reboot in this case. News recently broke of another go roun...

In the world of slasher movies, who would've thought that NOT having sex would be the reason you get killed?... I sure didn't, so that's why this movie is underrated for me and stands alone. This is a town that is about to have the highest sex drive in the history of horror due to this killer's motive. Enjoy my review for this damn near unknown gem which someone referred to as "American Pie Meets...

I was all for a Hellboy 3 from Del Toro and Ron Pearlman years back, and I actually was still hopeful when it was in development hell (pun intended). But instead news broke that the project was dead, and David Harbour would be donning the horns with Neil Marshall directing. I went from being intrigued at the idea to being unimpressed by the trailers. But I decided to give this a fair shot and not...

So here is a nostalgic character, near and dear to my childhood, who is getting the live action treatment on the big screen... And the film overall couldn't look more shitty. I'm serious people. I tried not to get myself worked up here and I did okay, but I've got some things to say about two trailers, the cast, the original and redesign of Sonic, and just the way this dumpster fire looks in gener...

The Nightmare On Elm Street franchise has been one interesting road so far... Creatively, it's the best at what it does but as far as consistency, that has never been popular. Nonetheless the rights have reverted back to Wes Craven's estate and his family is currently taking pitches for a new movie AND possibly a tv show. With 2010's bad remake being the last go round, can this nightmare come to f...

Easily being one of my favorite buddy-cop series ever, the LONG awaited Bad Boys For Life is coming next month and I'm actually pretty damn excited about it... We hadn't gotten these two on screen since 2003 for God's sake. Normally I'm against sequels waiting over a decade to make another, but this trilogy just had to come full circle. With two trailers in and a lot of hype so far, I'd say I have...

My Uncle, Don Keyz (look out for our episode coming soon) once suggested I do commentary on this... So I accepted tonight, as random as it may seem. Believe it or not, as savvy as I've gotten to modern horror slasher cinema, this was always an 80s gem to me nonetheless. The bad acting finds it's way through my horrific heart, and always seems to carry me. So enjoy this loaded and unscripted talk f...

I finally got a chance to catch up with my homegirl Ms. Swaggg to talk about the slew of horror remakes and such... And of course we went off course more than a few times, and tackled other topics. This episode is what happens when childhood horror buffs link up and voice their opinions. Unfiltered and unhinged, but it made for a great episode and a great guest appearance. We hope y'all enjoy this...

For those who don't know, Robert Pattinson is up to Bat (pun intended) in DC's next go round involving the great Dark Knight... And my thoughts are positive, but they're also fearful. With so many variations of Bruce Wayne/Batman on the big screen, both good and bad, those bat boots are BIG ones to fill. The question is can DC hit a home run with this peculiar casting overall, or will this prove t...

As much acclaim as the big screen adaptation of Stephen King's IT Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 have gotten, I can never forget to show respect to the OG version... It actually does hold up with a lot of the performances for me. The young cast, the adult cast, and Tim Curry still have shining moments, even for a tv miniseries. So in honor of the 29th anniversary of it's (pun intended) release, I decided...

With Blumhouse about to do their own modern take of The Invisible Man and with Bram Stoker's Dracula recently celebrating it's 27th year, I feel like the Universal Movie Monsters are still very much relevant... But can they still be done properly after The Mummy was a box office bomb? There have been sooo many interpretations of theae characters, good and bad (REALLY BAD), but studios other than U...

Mortal Kombat is top billing as far as video games/fighting games go... It's been around since back when kids were figuring out the "blood code" for gaming systems. But as far as cinema os concerned, fans haven't necessarily gotten their dues with a proper version, and one that's R-rated at that. So with a new movie coming in 2021, I decided to chat for a few about the details and what I would lik...

With 9 movies in the can (Hobbs & Shaw is basically Fast 9), this series has enough NOS in it's tank to keep things rolling for quite a while... I never get tired of it. But after the perfect and poetic tribute to the character of Brian O'Conner and Paul Walker himself in Furious 7, I wasn't sure if he'd be back. Well, the internet, set photos, and such have proven wrong. And we very well may see...

I'm a huge fan of The Crow movie and character in general, but does that mean I'm a FAN BOY who will just accept whatever is thrown at me? Of course not... BUT I will discuss it enough to say my likes, dislikes, and how I think this property has been doomed since the death of Brandon Lee (R.I.P.). Enjoy, folks.

When you allow Robert Rodriguez to go from vampires to aliens to zombies, you get an epic gore fest like this here... Not only is this one of the biggest horror spectacles ever on screen for me but this cast alone could be assembled for any genre film, and it would still be amazing. Zombies (aka Sickos), gore, guts, bullets, bad ass alpha males, and even more bad ass women running amok in this fli...

They say Misery loves company, but that turns into pure obsession when the company you keep is Paul Sheldon... As a writer, the idea of this movie is terrifying just based off of fandom alone. This movie broke barriers for Stephen King adaptations on the big screen and not only do I love a great film where a writer is in jeopardy, but I love one that's got a sense of claustrophobia even more. Enjo...

As promised (I think), I decided to talk about the second best entry in this series... Which isn't hard to do, being as though parts four and five are trash. But this is the epitome of zombie love, the RIGHT way (screw you, Warm Bodies). I couldn't wait to discuss Julie and Curt for you all in depth, while nerding out just because I love both zombies and love stories. Have at it, and enjoy!

Michael Myers is my favorite and scariest slasher, hands down... But Jason Voorhees is a close second. The fact that these two are more similar (depending on your timeline) than we think calls for something LONG overdue: a showdown. These are just my thoughts on why this crossover could work, and what I personally would do to put it in motion for a great time. Enjoy!
