Tutor Reviews

This is not a review per say... It's more of me talking about the things I really enjoyed about this long awaited cut of what should've been. And quite frankly, this episode took and got a lot out of me, so I will leave it at that. Enjoy, folks.

Finally got a chance to cover this underrated entry, and what a better day than today to get it done... I wish this director was still around to see this film get the flowers it deserves to this day because in my opinion, it gives me everything a FT13th film should give and adds a bit extra for the better. Not to mention that Kane Hodder's portrayal of Jason Voorhees is superior to any for me. It...

Fede Alverez, who's producing the new Texas Chainsaw flick set to release this year, gave the people some decent news this week pertaining to our favorite cannibal slasher... So being as though it was a breath of fresh air, as far as a direct sequel is concerned, I decided to do my ranking for this series. I've stated before that this is a set of movies that has little to no damn continuity whatso...

The Snyder Cut is literally closer than ever and while I'm more than excited for it, my brain has been on overload about something that pertains to that... All of this is making me wonder about moments when true visionary directors didn't get a chance to convey their specific visions on screen. There's always some red tape to go through in situations like these, but I feel like there shouldn't be...

Do me a solid, and think of the old tv show The Wonder Years... Okay, did you feel that? The childhood memories? Or rather did you hear that? The iconic theme song? Me, too. But when new broke today about this here, I didn't catch any of that shit at all. Some things I hold near and dear to me, but even the most nostalgic properties I've given fair treatment to their reboots. But this isn't the ca...

I made it through yet another franchise... And most of all, I made it through this movie as a whole. I did that. And I'm proud of myself. Enjoy, people.

A big shout out to The Cinemaniacs on this one here... Had some people not voted and gave me the fuel to do this one here, I would've kept dragging it out. I wanted to do this a while ago, but I kept putting it off so it was time to head into the hills. I have some real love for this flick in specific areas but overall, it's one of the better remakes to come out of the craze. Enjoy, folks.

Man, am I glad that my inquiring mind usually does want to know when it comes to movies... I thought this was bs when I came across it, but it's not. These are three new tv spots for the new film, all legit. And while there's a lot that we've seen in the first trailer already, there's some shit here that needs to be talked about for sure. Enjoy, people.

Holy Newfound Fan Film, Batman!... This just so happened to stumble my way recently, and there's no way I'm turning down the chance to review a fan film about my favorite comic book character ever. I've had a lot of luck with seeing some very solid fan films since doing this podcast, so hopefully the good times keep rolling here. The poster alone is bad ass enough to intrigue me. But when you mix...

So I finally made around to this zombie filled piece of nostalgia... By nostalgia, I mean that this was one of my favorite zombie movies as a kid. Not to be taken seriously at all, this sequel pretty much knows exactly what it is and doesn't try to fake that. It takes the horror/humor balanced template of the original and fully tips the scale to an almost slapstick version. Which I still get a kic...

"Twilight Zone gone haywire" you say?... Of course I've got to push the envelope and look into it if so. I love a good mind fuck horror anthology style outing, whether big screen or small screen. So a Lena Waithe executive produced creepy horror series sounds like it's worth a peek to me. Enjoy, folks.

I was 200% against the idea, the first trailer had me unimpressed, the second trailer made me optimistic, the reviews/feedback had me annoyed, and now it's here. Enjoy, folks.

So in preparation for my Resident Evil commentary (hopefully the day allows me to), I needed something to not only pass time but to entertain me nonetheless... This fit the bill more than well. Tim Burton is a creative that I admire and am inspired by as far as original ideas. He also has these strange and dark undertones that surpass even it's adult viewers at first. But the more I go back on mov...

I had been told about this movie prior to watching it last night and let me tell you guys something, I was in for a long awaited viewing. I wasn't worried about the time it was films nor the time period it took place in, but more so if I was going to be invested in such a young powerhouse cast. I will say one thing... Francis Ford Coppola knows exactly what he's doing when it comes to casting. Thi...

Zombies + Zack Snyder = You had me at both... As if people didn't already know this about me by now. Two factors that, since 2004's Dawn Of The Dead remake, probably always belonged together. Justice League is one thing, but this guy taking the helm and bringing me more of the undead is just pure gold at the end of the day. So an undead heist film set in Las Vegas definitely sounds more than inter...

I've seen disturbing movies before... And I've seen this. This is a different level of fuckery, I'm telling y'all. As a horror buff/gorehound/you-name-it, I've survived some of the most insane film experiences of my time. This one I survived as well, but the experience was enough to scar me for life. Enjoy, folks.

This is clearly another result of me not knowing what to watch and record to... But I'm glad I chose this gem. Before Hustlers, before P-Valley and all that, there was this. And it still stands the test of time for me. Imagine how Any Given Sunday or Blue Chips capture both life on and off the field/court... This is the one that captures all on and off the pole. And it sails by with flying colors....

This movie was a task to survive through... That is all. If you know, you know. Enjoy, folks.

Being as though I missed the majority of season one, I figured watching and reacting to this one here will motivate me to get back to it... Hopefully. Enjoy, people.

Sooo there were some things I missed the first few times around, and some things that just overall have me theorizing... Like I always do. Nothing way to down the rabbit hole, but there's most certainly moments in this trailer that peak my interest for sure. Enjoy, folks.

I've got to give a disclaimer here, only because my phone rang once during my first look at the trailer and again during my second look... But none of that stopped me from continuing this episode. Not this time. I have been patiently waiting for this for a LONG ass time, and I actually haven't stopped shaking since I watched this. My hands are actually trembling trying to type this damn thing righ...

In honor of the late and great Hal Holbrook, I figured I'd do this classic anthology gem... The commentary kind of goes without saying as it goes along and with George A. Romero being director on this, most of it goes without saying. Oh, and Stephen King as the writer doesn't hurt much at all. Enjoy, people.

One of the most notorious Disney villains finally got her own prequel, whether fans wanted to see it play out or not... Personally for me, I wasn't the craziest fan of 101 Dalmatians as a kid but it's apart of nostalgia, so I figured it'd be interesting to see a backstory on this character. And with this being a period piece, that already is intriguing to me. Emma Stone was made for period pieces...

Yet another one that's been long overdue, and one I've been looking forwarddl to since it was announced a while back... Six Wrong Turn movies in, and these fools still have no sense of direction. Much like the sequels that are very lackluster as they go along. But the idea of this I knew would be a different take on the property, so I was game for change. I just didn't expect it to change as much...

The Fog is a movie that still holds up as one of the best John Carpenter films, and horror films ever made for me... Never over the top as far as the violence, a great atmosphere, and an amazing cast overall. Funny enough, the idea had never come across my mind as far as what a sequel could be. But clearly, John Carpenter is now teasing a follow up to it, and possibly other films he's done. Sign m...
