This sermon focuses on the perfect judgment of God in his Word and through his works. In John 7:14–24, Jesus rebukes the Jewish leaders for judging his words (teaching) and works (healing) by self-serving and hypocritical motives rather than by judging from a pure heart with "right judgment" (John 7:24).
