Mark and I get into the history of the Pulpit, and how over years of church culture the sermon, Pulpit, and Ministry have led to the degradation of people, and intimate community. We talk bout current topics related to ministry and what the purpose of communal gathering was supposed to look like.

Welcome back. This is a brief introduction from Ruth to all of you listening, giving you context, an update, and a long overdue hello to all of you. Welcome back!

My friend Alexus sits down with me and shares her testimony around divorce, and the immense love she encountered from Jesus in the middle of what seemed to be an unredemptive mess in life. She shares how God brought her out of judgement of others, and gave her compassion and set her free from the religious ideologies that kept her from loving well.

India sits down with me and asks a series of questions she compiled form our family about how I felt parenting my children, what was the catalyst for my pursuit of freedom to why I think God is the best problem solver to is the rapture real? buckle up and enjoy this most likely not to happen anytime soon again interview where I get vulnerable with my daughter.

Judy talks about her life, and journey of healing from her past. She talks about the practical aspects of healing as wells the emotional and spiritual aspects. Just is an incredible example of what it looks like to choose to pursue the freedom and healing that Jesus offers over the victimization that life experiences handed her.

Nancy Becker and I talk about the spiritual difference between being a captive in life or a prisoner. We examine how our words can put others in captivity, and how our unforgiveness and bitterness we hold on to can make us a prisoner to our circumstances in life. We talk about freedom, and how to experience freedom and walk in all that God has called you to in life post captivity.

Rochelle and I talk through Identity. It's a big subject, so we talk through some of the psychology of it, and how our personal Identities were shaped, and how we worked though what was expected of us, and became who we are today. We talk about the ups and downs of trying on different Identities but ultimately emerging and walking into your God given identity.

My friend Judy and I process through our own individual journeys with God and loving People. We chat about the things He has and is teaching us on this life long journey, the mistakes, lessons and self realization that comes when loving and learning with others.

Jacob and I sit down and chat about How in our religious circles we have taken the anointing of God and turned it into a profession.  We process through questions like is it necessarily wrong? What are the ways we have monetized anointing? does it cheapen the anointing and our God given gifts? When we start to build a business around our anointing do we compromise to keep people happy? ...

Samantha shares her journey out of bulimia  and trauma into victory. she talks about the ugly side of having an eating disorder, the trauma behind it as well as the redemptive power of Jesus to come in and hep you navigate through and out of addiction and into freedom.

Von and I process through Navigating the disappointment in how we often think God is going to do something in our lives vs. how He actually does them. We talk about keeping the faith when it doesn't make sense to.

Rochelle and I sit down and process through the misconceptions around friendship. We talk about being connected, connectedness and interconnectedness as well as  how our world of social media and on line dating has brought so much confusion between these concepts.  We discuss what a deep friendship is, and How most of our relationships are merely just casual acquaintances.

Jacob and I chat about Honor. We process through the positional role we have placed Honor in and how we use it to control and manipulate people into doing and becoming what we need them to be and do.  We discuss the different ways we as a culture have chosen to give honor, and what the Bible actually says Honor is apart from what we have made it.  

Bethany and I sit down and chat about how our christian culture tends to cover up indiscretions  rather than confront them in love and honor.  We talk about the damage that dealing with mistakes in christian culture does so many people, and how it seems like Guilt and shame have been the main mode of discipline, leaving many victim to bitterness and resentment towards the church.
