What if the story of David and Goliath isn't primarily about you being the hero? Because Jesus conquered sin and death, we can face every giant from a place of victory.

Overlooked. Yet chosen by God. 1 Samuel 16 reminds us that human systems see the surface, but God sees the heart.

What happens when someone is given everything and throws it all away? King Saul had the calling, the victories, but by 1 Samuel 15, he'd blown it. In this message, we look at what took Saul down: the sins we minimise, the pride we hide, and the moment when God finally says "enough." Finally, we ask the uncomfortable question: are we closer to Saul than we think?

God calls his people to both waiting and moving and it takes discernment to know which season you're in. In Decisions, Deliberations and Destiny, we unpack 1 Samuel 13–14 through three questions: When is waiting obedience, and when is it avoidance? What does decisive action actually look like? And what role does community play when the stakes are high?

In this week's sermon we are challenged to be people of integrity, faith, obedience and prayer.

In this part of our study through 1 & 2 Samuel - we see Israel pick a new foundation and how a king is chosen. This king, Saul, was not who they expected and was a complex character, but God still used him. In this sermon, we are reminded that God is always orchestrating things by His Spirit and we are encouraged to look deeper and ask God what He is leading us to.

In week 2 of our Promises series, we are reminded that Scripture tells us “The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

We know the fear of being abandoned is one of the deepest fears in the human heart. This is because we are wired for connection, belonging and relationship. Truth be told, we may even fear that God himself might abandon us...  In week 1 of our Promises series, we hear how God addresses this matter with the promise "I will never leave you".

When a foundation is laid, things begin to change. The landscape around that foundation is forever changed. We are in 1 Samuel 7 - looking at building, growing and establishing things that will last.

In this part of our study through 1 & 2 Samuel - we look at how some people thought that in their lives, they could control God and get Him to do as they pleased. And we are challenged to think about how we approach God. Are you in relationship with God, worshipping Him for Who He is or are you trying to figure out your relationship with God on your terms?
