Often we think to differentiate between people who agree with Him or call Him Messiah or not, but he does not do that here... here he emphasizes living differently and learning to live the life he calls us to.

5.25.26 The Holy Spirit for Us 24.05.2026 21:25
Today is Pentecost, and we discuss the teamwork within the Trinity as Jesus hands the baton off to the Holy Spirit and the church. 5.17.26 Do I Know You? 17.05.2026 22:53
In our passage today, folks are telling Jesus how much they've done for him, yet he rejects them as evil doers, because he doesn't know them. It's easy to slip into thinking of our relationship with God in transactional terms; God's done this for me, so I need to do this for him. But that is not what God is after. He is after you and relationships WITH you.

He's teaching us that he doesn't just want us to try to do good works but wants to transform our inner being such that we have an inner goodness and holiness that comes from him. This is the goal in Jesus' teaching, not that we would just be saved from hell, but that we would be transformed...
5.3.26 The Narrow Way 03.05.2026 23:31
Jesus invites us to seek his Kingdom through the small gate and along the narrow way. Perhaps this means the way to and of the Kingdom is narrower than we think it is, and that it must be sought with intentionality. This narrow way of Jesus does give boundaries to our lives, but it also fills our lives with goodness and beauty.

4.19.26 Judging Others 19.04.2026 29:01
Today, we dive back into the Sermon on the Mount and reflect on Jesus' teaching on judging others. Part of why we shouldn't condemn others is simply that it doesn't work; it breaks relationships down and doesn't allow people to be open and honest about their struggles. Jesus gives us a vision of the church as a hospital for sinners, as we seek health and holiness, but aren&apo...

From Palm Sunday at the crucifixion, the Jews turn on Jesus. From praising him as a coming king, to screaming, "Crucify Him!" How did that happen? And are we capable of doing that today? The answer lies in the Jews' expectations of Jesus, their own humiliation by the Romans and Pilate's horrible games. Are you willing to take up your cross and follow Jesus where you might n...

3.15.26 The Basin and The Towel 15.03.2026 32:57
In the Ancient world, humility was not seen as a moral good. In fact, the word 'humiliation' is really how they would have heard our word 'humility'. Yet, today we value humility and dislike a prideful, arrogant person. So, what happened? History points to one person: Jesus of Nazareth. Today, we dive into the story of Jesus embodying his teachings by washing his disciples&...

3.1.26 Turning Over Tables 01.03.2026 23:13
We currently live in an "Outrage Culture" where people are encouraged in multiple ways to be angry and upset about things. In the midst of this, many people misuse the story of Jesus turning over the tables and driving out folks with a whip in the temple. Yes, this is a critique of the temple and Jewish leaders of the day, but perhaps it is a misrepresentation of the text to suggest tha...
