Lord’s Day 4 of the Heidelberg Catechism in our Sunday evening sermon series, ‘Teaching the Christian Faith.’

We continue in our Sunday Seminar series on post-reformation church history, looking at key figures who preceded and influenced the 20th century Charismatic movement.

At the end of Matthew 9, we’re told about the final four in a run of ten miracles done by Jesus and recorded by Matthew. In these miracles, we continue to learn about who Jesus is: he is powerful, he has a plan, and he is able to Cary out that plan.

Continuing our series on a part of Post-Reformation church history, we look at pre-cursors to the Charismatic movement in the West.

Lord’s Day 3 of the Heidelberg Catechism in our Sunday evening sermon series, ‘Teaching the Christian Faith.’

In this part of his Gospel, Matthew records for us three more miracles Jesus did during his life on earth. Whilst we see Jesus’ power and authority clearly displayed once again, these miracles highlight what it is to have faith in Jesus as Matthew records the various responses to Jesus.

Lord’s Day 2 of the Heidelberg Catechism from our Sunday evening sermon series, ‘Teaching the Christian Faith.’

In Matthew chapter 8 we read of three healings Jesus carries out after he finished preaching a famous sermon known as the sermon on the mount. What do these healings teach us about Jesus? In this sermon we consider Jesus’ power, manner, and focus.

In our new Sunday evening services we are teaching through the Heidelberg Catechism, one of the Reformed documents that act as a guide in helping us understand the teaching of the Bible. In this first session we look at what is our only comfort in life and in death (Lord’s Day 1, Q&A 1-2).

At the end of Paul’s letter to Ephesians, he writes a famous passage in which he outlines the Christian’s need for courage. What is courage? Why do we need it? And how do we get it?

Continuing our series on Post-Reformation church history, we look at how the Baptist tradition developed in the West.

At the beginning of Ephesians 6, the Apostle Paul addressed the subject of slaves and masters in the early church. In this sermon we consider what the passage teaches us.

In this new Sunday Seminar series, we consider how the church developed in history after the Reformation, from the Anabaptists to the Charismatic movement.

In Ephesians 6:1-4, the Apostle Paul outlines how being a Christian changes how we relate to our parents and our children, as well as how we should view children in the church. In this sermon we consider the significance of children, the responsibility of children, and the raising of children.

In the latter part of his letter to early churches in Ephesus, the Apostle Paul outlines how the gospel affects the way we are to live as Christians. This new way of living applies even to our marriages, and to how we view marriage. In this sermon we consider how God reveals his plan to the world through marriage, as well as considering what it is to be a Christian wife and a Christian husband.

In the latter part of his letter, the apostle Paul outlines how we should in response to God’s grace. Before dealing with specific situations at the end of chapter 5, he first provides some general principles that should govern our lifestyles.

In the latter part of Ephesians, the Apostle Paul outlines how we are to live as Christians. In this passage we see how we are to live in relation to those around us who do not share our Christian faith.

If being ‘Reformed’ means for a church to conduct itself ‘according to the Word of God’ - the Bible - then what does it mean for a church to worship according to the Word of God? What does the Bible teach us when it comes to how we should conduct our worship services?

What does it mean for a church to be ‘Reformed’? In this Sunday Seminar class, we look at how a Reformed church is Christian, Protestant, and Reformed.

After outlining that becoming a Christian means being given a new status and a new family, as well as being made a new person, the Apostle Paul then begins to teach us what the new life we are now to live is to look like.

As the Apostle Paul begins to outline how the gospel should affect the way we live our lives here and now, he first draws attention to the fact that Christians are ‘new’ people. In this sermon we consider what that means and why it’s important.

In the second half of his letter to the Ephesians (chapters 4-6), the Apostle Paul focuses on what difference the gospel makes to our lives here and now. He begins this section by drawing attention to our ‘calling’ as Christians. In this sermon we look at what that calling is and how we carry it out.

At the end of Ephesians 3, the Apostle Paul concludes the first half of his letter by reporting what he prays for when he prays for the early Christians in Ephesus. He essentially prays one thing: that God would strengthen them. In this sermon we consider what this strengthening is, what its results are, and how it happens.

At the beginning of chapter three of his letter to some early Christians in Ephesus, the apostle Paul outlines reasons why they shouldn’t lose heart despite facing disappointment in the church. In this sermon we consider two reasons Paul outlines why we similarly shouldn’t lose heart.
