Aside from that, the guys break down the weekend's Hallmark Christmas Movies and debate Joe's banana consumption threshold.

Joe and Jmac are two dudes in their 40s, which means they're gonna talk about results of their most recent medical lab tests while reviewing some Hallmark Christmas Movies and waxing poetic about the days of college football gone by. And who says it's not fun getting older?

Listener, it's Hallmark Christmas Movie season, and Jmac has you covered for the opening weekend of formulaic films, while Joe ponders having a human-sized raccoon live with him. And, <ahem>, we still don't have a sponsor for a hypothetical podcast tour yet people.

The Fall 2026 lineup of new TV shows is out, and Joe and Jmac -- mostly Jmac -- have thoughts on them (another NCIS?). Florida's win over Ole Miss has Joe riding high, while the guys also discuss why the NBA is a well-run league and the President's Cup is not worth their time.

Want to spend an hour with Joe and Jmac? Neither do we, but here we are. They talk extensively about that guy on Instagram who eats a terrible buffets, evaluate Joe's ability to compete in the four tennis Grand Slam events and break down each other's dream car. They also both think Trinidad Chambliss is really, really good at football.

How many steakhouses does Athens really need? How many push-ups can Joe do in a day? Why are so many people mad about a restaurant going cashless? Who has more bangers - Billy Joel or Elton John? Joe and Jmac dive into these existential questions, as well as ponder a podcast tour of Mississippi, in this week's episode.

After trying to keep their episodes to less than 40 minutes, Joe and Jmac managed to ramble for 50 minutes about a Quibi short featuring a golden arm, hiding in a mall from a gorilla and where the show "Coach" was set. Also, they feel that Western Michigan got hosed and that the SEC might actually want to expel LSU.

Joe and Jmac are back in the pod, perhaps against the best wishes of their loved ones, and this season kicks off with a breakdown of a milkshake error at Sonic, culinary mishaps and whether or not the guys know absolutely anything about UCLA football.

Joe and Jmac talked way too much football for guys who don't really know a lot about football, but there was too much that went down during Thanksgiving week to not talk about football even if it is true that you don't know much about football.

We're running a bit behind this week, but no matter. We did some Michael Bolton impressions, revisited the Joe VanHoose Bluegrass Experience (which, apparently, was a thing) and talked about bringing Bill Belichick home to meet your dad.

Joe has thoughts on Dubai Chocolate, though he can't actually eat it due to his lethal nut allergy. Still, the guys break down food trends on the way out in 2026, Joe's trip to Chicago and Jmac's idea to reposition the town's branding to "The Wendy's City."

Neither Joe or Jmac anticipated devoting 20 minutes to discussing French Dip sandwiches, but here we are. Plus, how soon is too soon to decorate for Christmas.

We didn't plan to take off a week, but it's all good now. Plus, we have story time from both Jmac and Joe with the former talking about his inability to use Amazon Prime Video properly and the latter regaling us with the shower situation in an RV.

Well, y'all, this is a weird one. Jmac relishes in Georgia's win over Auburn, as well as a little thing called karma. Joe shares a completely unhinged story around the origin of Baskin Robbins. And they both dive into the discography of Meatloaf. So, you know, buckle up everyone.

Jmac and Joe have, apparently, watched lots of bad, short-lived TV without every knowing it. Also, Joe is intrigued by the Steak Nuggets at Arby's, while Jmac wrestles with what restaurants he'd like to buy. Plus, football. Sure, football.

Have we missed anything the past two weeks? It's been a hectic past few weeks for Joe and Jmac between home inspections, Flu A infections and a myriad of notes for podcast topics that there is zero shared memory of. Dog Law? Bad meals in Sheybogan? What does it all mean ... might as well find out. 

Listener, we covered a lot of ground here. Jmac breaks down some seasonal fast food items (spoiler, lots of pumpkin), which prompts Joe to contrast the old Checker's with the new Caribou Coffee and ultimately leads to us extending an invitation to Bobby Flay to join our podcast. We also don't feel good about any of our picks this week.

Joe took his first trip to Helen, Jmac wonders what happened to Nic Cage and the fellas openly seek corporate sponsorship so they can do the podcast live this season from a Tulane game.

We probably could have prepared a little more for this episode, but the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce engagement clearly threw us for a loop. Anyway, college football is back, and so are Joe and Johnathan so they can lend their non-expertise to the mix.

It's the holiday season, and Joe's got some thoughts on flag planting at rivalry games and Johnathan ponders what truly makes a Christmas movie.

Listener, we missed last week. And now this week, Jmac has a cold, Joe's got some travel and we're doing this chaotic exercise via Zoom. It could have been worse, but we did manage to talk about Red Lobster, Marlon Brando and the insanity that is the 12-team college football playoff.

Have you ever seen the 1980s movie "Space Camp" and, y'all, more than that, have you ever wondered how realistic it is? Because it's really not, yet that doesn't deter Joe and Jmac from spending way too much time talking about it, as well as other fanciful space-based films. And football. Some football too.

It's Halloween, y'all, which makes it all the more reason for Joe and Jmac to dive into the 10-year anniversary of the truly weird, truly spectacular Adult Swim short "Too Many Cooks" in this week's episode. Also, there's a little football game on Saturday in Jacksonville, Fl, and neither of them feel confident.
