Joe and Jmac talked way too much football for guys who don't really know a lot about football, but there was too much that went down during Thanksgiving week to not talk about football even if it is true that you don't know much about football.

We're running a bit behind this week, but no matter. We did some Michael Bolton impressions, revisited the Joe VanHoose Bluegrass Experience (which, apparently, was a thing) and talked about bringing Bill Belichick home to meet your dad.

Joe has thoughts on Dubai Chocolate, though he can't actually eat it due to his lethal nut allergy. Still, the guys break down food trends on the way out in 2026, Joe's trip to Chicago and Jmac's idea to reposition the town's branding to "The Wendy's City."

Neither Joe or Jmac anticipated devoting 20 minutes to discussing French Dip sandwiches, but here we are. Plus, how soon is too soon to decorate for Christmas.

We didn't plan to take off a week, but it's all good now. Plus, we have story time from both Jmac and Joe with the former talking about his inability to use Amazon Prime Video properly and the latter regaling us with the shower situation in an RV.

Well, y'all, this is a weird one. Jmac relishes in Georgia's win over Auburn, as well as a little thing called karma. Joe shares a completely unhinged story around the origin of Baskin Robbins. And they both dive into the discography of Meatloaf. So, you know, buckle up everyone.

Jmac and Joe have, apparently, watched lots of bad, short-lived TV without every knowing it. Also, Joe is intrigued by the Steak Nuggets at Arby's, while Jmac wrestles with what restaurants he'd like to buy. Plus, football. Sure, football.

Have we missed anything the past two weeks? It's been a hectic past few weeks for Joe and Jmac between home inspections, Flu A infections and a myriad of notes for podcast topics that there is zero shared memory of. Dog Law? Bad meals in Sheybogan? What does it all mean ... might as well find out. 

Listener, we covered a lot of ground here. Jmac breaks down some seasonal fast food items (spoiler, lots of pumpkin), which prompts Joe to contrast the old Checker's with the new Caribou Coffee and ultimately leads to us extending an invitation to Bobby Flay to join our podcast. We also don't feel good about any of our picks this week.

Joe took his first trip to Helen, Jmac wonders what happened to Nic Cage and the fellas openly seek corporate sponsorship so they can do the podcast live this season from a Tulane game.

We probably could have prepared a little more for this episode, but the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce engagement clearly threw us for a loop. Anyway, college football is back, and so are Joe and Johnathan so they can lend their non-expertise to the mix.

It's the holiday season, and Joe's got some thoughts on flag planting at rivalry games and Johnathan ponders what truly makes a Christmas movie.

Listener, we missed last week. And now this week, Jmac has a cold, Joe's got some travel and we're doing this chaotic exercise via Zoom. It could have been worse, but we did manage to talk about Red Lobster, Marlon Brando and the insanity that is the 12-team college football playoff.

Have you ever seen the 1980s movie "Space Camp" and, y'all, more than that, have you ever wondered how realistic it is? Because it's really not, yet that doesn't deter Joe and Jmac from spending way too much time talking about it, as well as other fanciful space-based films. And football. Some football too.

It's Halloween, y'all, which makes it all the more reason for Joe and Jmac to dive into the 10-year anniversary of the truly weird, truly spectacular Adult Swim short "Too Many Cooks" in this week's episode. Also, there's a little football game on Saturday in Jacksonville, Fl, and neither of them feel confident.

Listener, let's talk about music played by bands you've never heard of from porches, Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas opening weekend and the ABC TGIF lineup ... because, you know, that's what we do.

Joe has definitive opinions on when Christmas season should start. Related, Johnathan is excited for Hallmark's Countdown To Christmas starting on Friday, and Lauren warrants a producer credit finally.

Joe celebrated a birthday recently, so let's talk about going to see Michael Bolton in concert, traveling to Biloxi to gamble and the importance of proper measuring cups when preparing a cake.

Do you want to talk about pear juice? Maybe professional wrestling in the 1980s? Or one of those Paul brothers fighting Mike Tyson? If so, the good news is this week's podcast finds Joe and Jmac exploring all of those topics ... oddly enough. Plus, Jmac comes to terms with Georgia's loss to Alabama.

Well, this one went a bit off the rails. We talked Richard Marx (who Joe kept confusing for Karl Marx for some reason), went a step further with a game involving rock ballads, wandered around a bit to talk about Ted's Montana Grill and then covered some college football.

Joe's given way too much thought to the lyrical meaning to Kid Rock's third - that's right listener, third - album, while Jmac seeks to hijack segment after segment. From Disney influencers to Sturgill Simpson, we might as well get into it.

Was watching Miami beat Florida better than going to IHOP for Joe? Maybe. Maybe not. It's really hard to say, though at least the flapjacks were all you can eat. Either way, Joe and Jmac break down the first week of college football, talk about coaching hot seats and discuss the Dunkin' fall seasonal menu.

It's Season Two ... and, at the same time, our 10th anniversary of podcasting. None of this matters. Joe and Jmac tackle Taco Bell's nostalgia menu, their podcasting history, recent vacations and, yeah, college football.

Johnathan is gearing up for a big trip out west, Joe doesn't get Hallmark Christmas Movies starting in October and they both believe their teams are destined to lose in The Game Formerly Known As The World's Largest Cocktail Party.
