Mahalagang alam natin kung ano ba yung biblical gospel. So we must also be aware kung ano naman yung mga distorted versions nito.

Nagbigay si D. A. Carson ng five reasons kung bakit maraming mga Christians ang nagiging tulad din ng mga non-Christian in responding to sufferings.

Kahit nakakulong sa bahay ang mga Christians, lalo na yung mga pastors and preachers, dahil sa coronavirus, di pa rin mapipigilan ang advancement of the gospel. Nangyari 'to sa life of the early church because of persecution. At pati ngayon, mangyayari pa rin because of God's commitment to fulfill his purposes in the preaching of his Word. Ano ang promise ni Lord pag nag-pray tayo? “Call on me in a day of trouble; I will rescue you…” (Psa. 50:15 CSB). Ano ang ibig sabihin ng “rescue”? Gaano man kahirap sa ngayon to make a stand about this issue on male headship and female submission, we must make sure na hindi tayo driven by our emotions, or influenced by secular culture, or mag-adjust to gain acceptance sa society. We must be driven and shaped by the Word of God.

According to Colossians 3:16 and Ephesians 5:19, ang congregational singing ay indispensable part ng pagiging Christian at mahalaga if we are to grow into maturity as a body of Christ. Multi-dimensional, vertical (we sing to God and God speaks to us) and horizontal (we sing to one another). And these truths have implications for how we sing every Sunday morning

Meron tayong singing problem, kasi meron tayong worship problem. At kung meron tayong worship problem, meron tayong heart problem. The whole Story of God is the story of God redeeming his people - to be a singing people for him.

We have to spend time to talk about congregational singing. We spend about 25-30 minutes of our worship service in singing. The rest is prayer, Scripture reading, and sermon. But we seldom take time to reflect why we sing and why it matters.

The center of the gospel is the death of Christ and the reason why He died is to deal with sin. Therefore, the proclamation of the gospel is incomplete without addressing the issue of sin. This means explaining that men and women are sinners and are therefore under the wrath of God is important if we want to present the gospel properly.

A rediscovery of the gospel begins with a vision of the holiness of God. What does it mean for God to be holy? Why is a “God-entranced vision of all things” crucial for gospel awakening both in our individual lives and in our churches? How should this vision of God’s holiness motivate us in our own personal pursuit of holiness and in helping our churches progress in sanctification?

In what ways is the gospel denied, distorted or minimized in our churches today? Why is it urgent that we have a right view of the gospel? What is at stake here? What is the gospel? Why do pastors and church leaders have a solemn obligation to proclaim and protect it?

"Flee from idolatry" (1 Cor. 10:14). Run, run away as quick as you can, without hesitation. Responsibility natin 'yan. Kapag may temptation, hindi mo kakantahan 'yan, "O tukso layuan mo ako." No, ikaw ang lalayo at kakaripas ng takbo palayo sa tukso.

God does not give us trials dahil bilib siya sa atin. Kundi para tayo ang bumilib sa kanya. Meron naman kasing mga temptations na di natin kinakaya. Ilang beses na tayong bumagsak. But the good news for us, we don't have to fall. Kasi merong Diyos na tumutulong sa atin kahit sa mga panahong parang wala nang pag-asa.

We must be willing to lose something big in order to win something bigger. Meron siyang binanggit sa 1 Cor. 9:19-27 na dalawang malaking bagay na handa siyang mawala sa kanya para makamtan niya ang dalawang bagay na higit na mas mahalaga.

Prayer ko na maging nangingibabaw na hangarin na ng puso natin ay hindi yung sarili nating karapatan, o kalayaan, o sariling pangarap, o sariling kagustuhan - kundi yung mas malaya at mas malawak na maipangaral ang mabuting balita ni Cristo.

These are issues na hindi lang basta about food, places or events, pero merong religious significance, may disagreements among Christians, yung iba sobrang big deal ito, yung iba naman it's no big deal. Pero kung hindi tayo wise and careful kung paano magrespond sa mga ganitong issues, it may cause disunity sa church, it may discourage or harm our fellow believers...
