La Dama Del Desmadre

Trauma, Tacos & True Crime

Trauma, Tacos & True Crime is a true crime podcast hosted by La Dama del Desmadre—a half-Mexican, half-Nicaraguan, Cali born-mom of five with a dark sense of humor and a lot to say. Each episode explores true crimes, and the psychological aftermath left behind, alongside motherhood chaos, cultural commentary, and humor that cuts through the heaviness. This is not a therapy podcast. There are no glow-ups, no fixing women, and no pretending healing has to look pretty. Just real stories, honest conversations, and laughing when life makes no sense. New episodes drop starting December 31!

The Kitchen Kid - Rooms We Survived - Laci Peterson 16.04.2026

Some stories don’t leave you. Not because of what happened, but because of what they make you feel after. In this first episode of Season 2, I talk about the Laci Peterson case, and some childhood memories that don’t fully make sense until later, and how some “rooms” stay with us longer than we expect. This isn’t about the shock. It’s about what stays after. Not judging. Just keeping it real. Sour...

Plane Meltdown: Air Rage, Anxiety, and Why Everybody Needs to Breathe 16.03.2026

Airplanes are basically a flying group project with strangers — tight seats, no escape, and everyone’s nervous system packed into one metal tube. In this episode,I break down viral plane meltdowns, air rage, and why stress, anxiety, alcohol, and feeling trapped can push people past their limits. We talk about the psychology behind public blowups, the reality of unruly passenger incidents, and why...

It's Not Just Me...Right? 27.02.2026

Today’s episode came from one of those days where the patterns were everywhere. Why does it sometimes feel like women are the ones doing the emotional math? Reading the books. Working on triggers. Regulating. Healing. "Auditing the relationship". Meanwhile some men are like, “I feel fine.” Just a pattern conversation. Editor/Writer: La Dama Del Desmadre

Why "Just Breathe" Makes You Want to Throw Hands (Nobody Explained This Part) 11.02.2026

We all learned about the nervous system in school…  but let’s be honest, none of us really knew what the hell that meant in real life. In this episode, we’re talking about what actually happens in your body when you feel anxious, irritated, overstimulated, or just completely fried… and why “just breathe” can feel like the most useless advice in this world. This isn’t therapy talk or textbook scien...

The Craigslist Killer and The Aftermath We All Live With 04.02.2026

The Craigslist Killer & the Aftermath We All Live With This episode isn’t about shock value, it’s about what stays in our brains after the headline. Using the Craigslist Killer case as context, I talk about intuition, silence, politeness, and the everyday ways people ignore their gut just to keep things “cool.” We get into the psychological aftermath, and how the same nervous system responses...

Perception is a Liar 29.01.2026

There’s no headline in this episode. No body. No timeline. Just the part everyone skips — and later regrets. This episode is about perception . About how quickly our minds fill in the blanks. About how trauma can turn moments into full-blown stories that feel absolutely true — even when they aren't. After a routine moment made me spiral into assumptions, certainty, and a whole imagined betrayal, I...
