Top Down Perspective

There isn't really news this week so we just talk about what we've been playing. Jon tries out the new Mario Kart 8 DLC as well as Axiom Verge. Sean dips into his back log with OlliOlli 2 and finally starts VLR. Paul tries out Box Boy and continues with Killing Floor 2 and Titan Souls.

This week Sean plays through Box Boy and gets into the mobile version of Hearthstone. Paul does as well. He also plays Pillars of Eternity, GTAV for PC, and Titan Souls. Jon checks out the new Streetpass update and Mortal Kombat X. Guitar Hero makes an official return announcement this week, questionable micro transactions in MKX, and weird Sony-movie related plans.

Short show this week as we all only play one game (basically). Sean finally finishes off Codename S.T.E.A.M.... guess how that went! Paul dives into the new Hearthstone adventure "Blackrock Mountain" and Jon has a great time with Boxboy! This week Paul's work keeps him too late to be on the show. Jon starts up Dragon Warrior 2 and Battleblock Theater. Sean plays through Game of Thrones episode 3 and the odd Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast and Furious. The news is main the recent Nintendo Direct but we also bring up Assassin's Creed Chronicles, Quantum Break's delay, and OnLIve officially ending.

Internet issues aside we are all together again. Sean and Paul play Hotline Miami 2, Life is Strange episode 2 and both finish Ori and the Blind Forest. Sean is also checking out Fruit Ninja Kinect 2 and Tales from the Borderlands episode 2. Jon continues with Pokemon Shuffle and returns to Payday 2. Paul is kind of in and out during this episode but everything is playing Ori and the Blind Forest. Sean finished Rainbow Curse and continues with STEAM. Jon continues with Pokemon Shuffle, plays the original Dragon Warrior and Mario Party 10. Jon returns from his couple week absence to tell us all about how he didn't play anything at PAX East. He has though been trying out Pokemon Shuffle, Star Tropics and finishing that Dragon Ball Z game. Paul didn't play much. Jon is away for the second week, this time attending PAX East. Sean finishes up Majora's Mask 3D and Evolve while continuing Desert Golf and starting Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. Paul tries out Black Hole, Republique Remastered and Trials Fusion.  News is large with the Rock Band 4 announcement, everything from Valve at this year's GDC and March's PS+ games.

While Jon picks up and goes on his work trip, Sean has been playing some more Evolve and finally has the opportunity to get the most out of the Jackbox Party Pack when some friends come to visit! Paul has been building some intricate weapons in Beseige, stressing out adventurers in Darkest Dungeon and going full Barry-mode in Resident Evil Revelations 2. Sean is away this week so Paul and Jon do the only logical thing: take a whole lot of listener questions! Remember: if you don't like this episode... it's kind of your fault!

With Valentine's Day coming up, Jon gets in the mood by playing Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans and... Cliffhanger? Sean catches up with the newest episode of Game of Thrones TellTale game, Evolve on the Xbox One and Framed on the iOS while Paul plays Heroes of the Storm. Not much in the way of news other than Zelda might be coming to Netflix? Also, a whole bunch of questions!

Paul tries out Dark Deception, Castle in Darkness and Life is Strange (along with Sean). Jon is just continuing with his everlasting quest to play every Picross puzzle ever. Club Nintendo releases their final rewards, variant color Amiibos are on their way and Sony no longer own Sony Online Entertainment.

Back from his convention for a couple weeks before heading out again Jon has been playing nothing. Paul is trying out Dying Light and Fractured Space while Sean talks about Majora's Mask 3D and Duet Game. Nintendo starts it's partner program for YouTube streamers, the next Game of Thrones episode gets a release date and February's PS+ titles are announced.

This week Paul talks about the North American released of REsident Evil as well as HuniePop. Sean sticks to iOS this week with more Pair Solitaire, Spaceteam and Heads Up! Jon is away at MAGfest. Microsoft held their Windows 10 event and we discuss what relates to games. Nintendo decides to shut down Club Nintendo, and Harmonix is really hinting at a new Rock Band.

Games are barely starting to come out so it's mainly backlog stuff this week. Sean finishes Mordor while Jon plays some Picross 3D. Paul continues with Far Cry 4 and gets mad at Sony. Back from the break we want to discuss what we've been playing over the last couple of weeks. Sean goes through all of Assassin's Creed: Rogue and a good chunk of Shadow of Mordor. Jon has been playing some random DS eshop games as well as Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker. Paul continues with Far Cry 4 and Depth. Every year, it happens. Games came out. We played them and decided which we liked and those perhaps we didn't care for. Now... now we remember the year as a whole and name some of the worst and absolute best gaming experiences we had in 2014.Along with you, the community, it's been a long and winding road we traveled this year and we were astounded to have almost 100 personal entries for each cate...

Not a lot going on this week due to the holidays coming up. Sean is taking care of some stuff before leaving for Canada for a couple weeks so it's up to Jon and Paul to hold the fort down. Jon plays Ultimate NES Remix and Paul dabbles here and there in World of Warcraft.  In news, Ralph Baer has passed, Telltale is making a Minecraft game and a video game is pulled off Steam Greenlight.

Paul finally starts up Bayonetta 2 and is already loving it. Sean plays through Game of Thrones and a good chunk of Captain Toad while continuing with Crossy Road. Jon beats everyone by playing Picross DS, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Broforce and a good deal more. The Game Awards happened as well as the PlayStation Experience and a good chunk of announcements came out of that.

From the far east Jon joins us, but never too far from video games. He's been playing more Picross DS, The Jackbox Party Pack and Binding of Isaac as well as Halo The Master Chief Collection with Sean (who also played through the first episode of Tales from the Borderlands). Paul hasn't been playing too much.  A 20th anniversary PS4 is being released to a limited supply, we also talk about Steam's...

It's Turkey Day for a minority of this podcast, not really - he didn't have any turkey. Paul has been playing Far Cry 4, This War of Mine and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Jon goes back to Picross DS, starts up Smash WiiU and checks out The Master Chief Collection. Sean finishes Bayonetta 2, starts working through Pokemon and is excited about Geometry Wars 3.

Paul continues with the new Binding of Isaac and Jon joins in and plays through all of Picross e5. Sean and Paul both play through A Bird Story. Then Sean plays some Luftrausers, Sunset Overdrive, Smash WiiU and Bayonetta.  There isn't much news, G4 is officially gone. 

Sean is away this week again, so in his memory Paul plays a lot of Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare while Jon parties it up playing Fibbage and Smash Bros on 3DS. Sean rejoins this week to talk about Project Spark, Sunset Overdrive and Disney Fantasia. Jon played through all of Okami and Paul checked out Evolve's Big Alpha. This was a new Nintendo Direct this week and we break down what's interesting (and dumb) from that. We also talk about shaving gel and sweet upcoming Mii apps.

Sean is busy this week but the show doesn't stop. Paul is playing around with Arma 3 and a lot of The Evil Within. Jon continues with Hyrule Warriors and Smash 3DS. I put a lot of news in the doc but I haven't listened to the full episode yet so I don't know what exactly they talked about from there. There is a news section though.
