Top Down Perspective

This week we are discussing two different conventions: the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo as well as PAX East.  Jon has been playing There's Poop in my Soup and the Pocket Card Jockey. Sean finished Apollo Justice. Paul tries out Shellshock Live and the Paragon beta. News is mostly Nintendo this week with some info the NX, the next Zelda, and a 3DS/WiiU Humble Bundle.

Jon is away at PAX East this week. Paul continues with Dark Souls 3 and dislikes Rogue Stormers. Sean keeps trucking through Apollo Justice and Enter the Gungeon. In the news section we discuss some new info on the PlayStation Neo, Super Giant's new game Pyre, and the Xbox 360's discontinued production.

We finally all reunite! Paul and Sean are quite into Enter the Gungeon. Paul also is playing a whole lot of betas right now. Jon isn't really playing anything and, instead, is doing his taxes.  There's no news except for Pokemon lingerie!

Bit of a slow week this time. Sean is playing Prune, Stardew Valley, and the second episodes to The Walking Dead: Michonne. Jon is done with that Elves/Magic/Super Evolution thing and plays a good chunk of Hunie Cam Studio. News is the Gears of War 4 release date and beta information as well as Telltale Games' next publishing choice.

It's Miitomo season for us here on the show and we have mixed feelings about it. Jon is playing a lot of old SNES games while Sean continues with Quantum Break and Pokken Tournament. As for news, we talk about some weird Anamanaguchi stuff, Xbox Ones finally being able to work as dev kits, and the free games for April.

Not even snow or rain or gorgeous sunshine will keep us all away from this week's podcast. Jon is playing some weird Japanese games that were put onto a cart for him. Sean starts Pokken Tournament and Quantum Break. Paul is playing The Division for reals.  News is a few things PlayStation and a bunch of debunked rumors regarding the WiiU and the NX.

We're all back together this week. Sean spent some time at the Game Developers Conference and got to try out the HTC Vive, PlayStation VR, and a ton of other games. Paul is playing a lot of Clash Royale and The Culling. Jon tries out Earth Defense Force 4.1 and Rocket League's hockey mode. We discuss a bunch of GDC announcements including the PlayStation VR's price and launch date, Oculus's launch...

It's a short one this week since all three sections of the show are scarce. Sean is playing Fire Emblem still and got a bunch of iOS games during some sale. Jon played Batman the Return of Joker and we check in with his Pokemon rip off thing. News is mainly Lionhead being in talks of shutting down, but we also discuss next week's GDC and the PlayStation VR.

This week Sean continues with Fire Emblem Fates and Jon is slowly breaking down about not buying it. Jon is playing a bunch of old Game Boy games such as Spiderman 3. Let's be honest, the news section is pretty much all about the latest Nintendo Direct.

This week Sean starts Fire Emblem while Jon gets mad at it. Jon completes The Witness. Paul is enjoying more of The Division's open beta. News consists of the forthcoming Nintendo direct, possible Pokemon leaks, and the HTC Vive's price being announced.

MAGfest once again strips us of Wheeler but it's alright. Paul and Sean discuss Firewatch. Sean continues with The Witness. Paul plays a bunch of Rise of the Tomb Raider and Xcom 2. The results of the Emotional Games Awards are announced....so that's a thing. Quantum Break coming to Windows 10, a Sonic the Hedgehog movie, and Kanye West's video game are all topics we discuss in news.

Jon and Sean are both neck deep into The Witness, though they can't really talk about it much. Paul plays The Division beta, Resident Evil 0 HD, and the PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider. As for news, we talk about the broken Tales of Symphonia PC port, plans for Nintendo's Miitomo app, and Gamestop publishing the next Insomniac game.

From the flu he returns! Sean is back to talk about finishing Ace Attorney 3, Cibele, and That Dragon, Cancer. He's also started up Lifeline 2, Downwell, and Churchill Solitaire. Jon continues with Super Ghouls and Ghosts and starts up Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. News is February's Games with Gold and PS+ and Mighty No. 9 getting delayed again.

Sorry for the late upload. Not a lot happening this week for games played and Sean's sick so the real draw for this episode is... NPD numbers! And a whole bunch of emails. There isn't a lot to say about this week's episode honestly. It'll kill a bus or train ride or something! Hopefully more happens for next week!

Games are moving slowly so we all dip into the back catelogs. Paul plays some Warframe and Binding of Isaac. Jon is starting Final Fantasy 4, Galak-Z, and continuing with Pokemon Picross. Sean dives head first back into Super Mario Maker and tries out Assassin's Creed Syndicate.  News has us talking about the Oculus Rift's release date and price point and the amazing new Emotional Games Awards. 

The year is over and so are games so we talk about our favorite from this last year of 2015. Come and find out each of the hosts' top ten lists along with their biggest surprises, disappointments, and more. We also had a survey running for the last month or so for our community and we tallied the votes and reveal what our listeners chose as their favorite games as well.

With the holiday rush starting to happen, we had to record a day early and a man short. Luckily, Paul's co-host over at Burning Barrel was ready to fill in for some video game talk! Paul joins us from a crappy iPad in a Chicago hotel to tell us that he isn't playing anything. Jon dives into a few Phoenix Wright games and the new Pokemon Picross. Sean is playing Destiny, Witcher 3, and Just Cause 3. We discuss everything going on during The Game Awards as it happens while we record.

No one has really played much this week. Sean continues with Guitar Hero Live and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Paul is still way into Fallout 4 and Jon has started up Yoshi's Woolly World. In the news section we talk about the upcoming updates to Rock Band 4 and Rocket League, a few more remasters coming, and Porn Hub's dip in traffic due to Fallout's launch.

He livesssss. Jon returns to talk about his last travels and conventions. He's been playing Tri Force Heroes and Undertale. Paul is really into Fallout 4 this week. Sean talks about Rise of the Tomb Raider, Tales from the Borderlands, and Nintendo's Badge game thing. News is about Swery, the retail version of Life is Strange, and the most recent Nintendo Direct.

Jamaica. Paul is playing the Yo-Kai Watch demo, Dragon Fin Soup, and Undertale. Sean is trying out Tri Force Heroes and Yoshi's Wooly World. News in scarce but a reference to Alan Wake 2 is mentioned, Activision buys King for 6 billion dollars, and PS+'s November games line up is discussed.

We continue our trend of Jonless shows this week. Paul is playing Devilian, and Sean finishes with Halo 5. We discuss the new Nintendo account and mobile news, the Playstation press conference last week in Paris, and Mirror's Edge getting delayed.

With episode 5 of Life is Strange being released last week, Sean joins Paul and a cast of others to discuss the finer (and lower) points of the series!
