[Comment: Kingdom at Hand]         Friends of the Rosary, This month, we read Jesus’ parables of the Kingdom of God in the New Testament. Our Savior is not talking about a distant eternity. He teaches us that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Jesus meant that we need to start building the truth now and here, without further delay. We must transform the Earth into the Kingdom of...

[Comment: Holy Lives]         Friends of the Rosary, Today, we commemorate Saints Anne and Joachim, parents of the Virgin Mary and grandparents of Jesus Christ. Through the visions of the German, mystic nun Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich, we learned about the virtuous and holy lives of Anne and her husband Joachim, who was of the line of David. Saint Anne gave birth to Mary, f...

[Comment: The James’ Way]       Friends of the Rosary, Today is the festivity of Saint James, the brother of John the Evangelist, and the first Apostle to be martyred. James was one of the three Apostles who were particularly close to Jesus. He was with his brother and Peter at the Transfiguration and in the Garden of Gethsemane. After the Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension of...

[Comment: Resisting Through Prayer]     Friends of the Rosary, In the Gethsemane garden (Luke 22:39-46), Jesus, praying earnestly, sweating drops of blood, found His disciples asleep, exhausted from sorrow. Jesus asked them: “Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.” Temptation is a reality of human life that nobody, not even Jesus in His humanity, could escape. How do...

[Comment: Looking But Not Seeing]   Friends of the Rosary, Our radical ego, along with our particular interpretation of suffering, determines our views. We are absorbed by our convictions, anxieties, and material interests. Additionally, society’s rules today–mostly contrary to the true faith–lead us into this direction. We are so dependent on our emotions that we are unable to believe and ex...

[Comment: First Witness of the Resurrection] Friends of the Rosary, Today is the liturgical feast of St. Mary Magdalene, a follower of Jesus, on par with the Apostles. She was one of the three women present at Christ’s crucifixion. Jesus Himself had healed her of evil spirits and infirmities. Mary Magdalene was the first recorded witness of the Resurrection. She announced to the grieving Apostles...

[Comment: The Holy Spirit Interceding]     Friends of the Rosary, In the Rosary meditation, we ask for our petitions and intentions to be fulfilled, rightfully so, within the Divine Will. We often convert our prayer in a list of petitions; however, we don’t really know what it is convenient for us. Saint Paul explained in this eighth letter to the Romans, that the Holy Spirit helps us in...

[Comment: False Creeds and Prophets]   Friends of the Rosary, As it happened in the time of the early Church, today we also see many false creeds and prophets. How do we detect them? Saint John gave us a clue in his first letter. "Whoever rejects that Jesus is from God is a false prophet." Moreover, that is the spirit of the Antichrist, said John the Apostle. The first leaders of the early Ch...

[Comment: Sacrilegious Attacks] Friends of the Rosary, This Friday, a Church in New Haven, Connecticut, was attacked with satanic symbols painted on the door. Also, this month, statues of the Virgin Mary and Jesus in Tennessee, New York, Boston, Miami, and Colorado Springs were vandalized. In Los Angeles, a fire destroyed the church of the Mission San Gabriel, founded by St. Junipero Serra. In Oca...

[Comment: Being Marian] Friends of the Rosary, Protestant Christians and even many Catholics question our devotion to the Virgin Mary. We passionately believe in Mary as the Spiritual Mother of all humankind, as Jesus instructed in the Cross to Saint John. We reach our brother Jesus Christ and our Almighty Father through the Virgin Mary. Meeting Jesus through Mary is the fruit of the second Lumino...

[Comment: Mercy] Friends of the Rosary, We read this week in the New Testament about Pharisees’ views hiding into the Law when they just were playing politics and pursuing personal gain. This might sound familiar today. Jesus went beyond this hypocrisy and highlighted what is God about, mercy. “I desire mercy, not sacrifice,” said Jesus. In his infinite mercy, the eternal Father is just waiting fo...

July 16, 2020, Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries) 17.07.2020

[Comment: Star of the Sea] Friends of the Rosary, Today, July 16th is the liturgical feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. In the 13th century in Palestine, the Virgin Mary appeared to an Englishman called Saint Simon Stock–a prior of the Carmelite Order–and gave him the Brown Scapular and the Carmelite brown habit. The Brown Scapular, a medal that shows thanksgiving to Mary, has been a popular devot...

[Comment: Counting Gold Coins] Friends of the Rosary, By each Hail Mary, we bless both Jesus and Mary. The value of each Hail Mary is beyond human comprehension. There is an interesting story of one saint, the German Benedictine nun Saint Gertrude, who lived in the thirteen century. One day, Saint Gertrude had a vision of Our Lord counting gold coins. She had the courage to ask what Jesus was doin...

[Comment: Spiritual Warfare] Friends of the Rosary, As it was in the time of the Roman Empire, today darkness mostly runs the world. People opposed to the Lord continue poisoning the minds and hearts of many, trying to turn them from the kingdom of truth, joy, and goodness of the Holy Spirit. In this spiritual warfare, we naturally stand with God’s kingdom of light. To resist the attacks, we...

[Comment: Meaning of Hail Mary] Friends of the Rosary, When we say properly the Hail Mary, we love, bless, and glorify the Holy Trinity. By each Hail Mary, we give Our Lady the same honor that God gave Her when the Archangel Gabriel greeted Her. The second part of the Hail Mary reveals the words of Saint Elizabeth, inspired by the Holy Spirit. The third part, added in the year 430 in the Council o...

[Comment: What the Lord Wants] Friends of the Rosary, In the third Luminous mystery, Jesus Christ proclaims that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand and calls to conversion. The Lord, reigning with all majesty, is concerned about us. The Virgin Mary told it us many times via her apparitions throughout the last three centuries. In his second letter, Saint Peter reveals to us that the Lord is long-suff...

[Comment: Becoming a Missionary] Friends of the Rosary, When you discover something beautiful you are eager to share it. Similarly, once you fully comprehend certain aspects of the mysteries of the life of Jesus and Mary you can become a sort of missionary. All of the prophets and saints who experienced a vision of God received a mission in parallel. Jesus explained that “ the harvest is abundant...

[Comment: Offer the Suffering] Friends of the Rosary, Suffering is part of the human experience. No one is exempt. Everyone brings his own cross. Even Jesus Christ, the Man-God who came to free us from the slavery of sin, experienced a dramatic Passion and Death. For many, suffering leads to atheism and agnosticism, which ultimately results in a deeper pain. For Christians, torments should lead to...

[Comment: Doubts] Friends of the Rosary, We all doubt because we are weak and imperfect. We need we make an effort and leave behind our lack of faith. The apostle St. James the Great wrote in the New Testament that “the one who doubts is like a wave of that sea that is driven and tossed by the wind” . “That person will not receive anything from the Lord”. Friends, we must remain constant on our tr...

[Comment: America the Beautiful] Friends of the Rosary, In September of 1987, during his visit to Detroit, Saint John Paul II encouraged America to remain and increasingly become one Nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. John Paul II highlighted that the greatest value of this country is to respect every human person, especially the weakest, the most defenseless ones, a...

[Comment: Knowing Without Seeing] Friends of the Rosary, Today is the feast of Saint Thomas, the Apostle. Thomas, one of the twelve apostles, required a supernatural sign to believe in the Resurrection of Jesus. The Lord Himself appeared and encouraged everyone to put aside their doubts. Later, by the way, Thomas would be a great evangelizer, going outside the Roman Empire and bringing the good ne...
