[Comment: Hope on Earth] Friends of the Rosary, The Virgin Mary is the daughter of the Father, the Mother of the Son of God, and the spouse of the Holy Spirit. No other creature ever created has a more intimate connection to the Holy Trinity. The Queen of Heaven – who is all-perfection – is our joy in life, our sweetness, and our hope here on Earth. The Most Holy Rosary is a gift to humanity that...

October 9, 2020, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) 09.10.2020

[Comment: Working with Jesus] Friends of the Rosary, "Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters." These are the words of Jesus Christ, as we read today in the Gospel (LK 11:15-26). The Son of God is extremely merciful and patient waiting for our conversion. But at the same time, He is crystal clear on the path of our salvation. "I am the way and the truth a...

October 8, 2020, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries) 08.10.2020

[Comment: Persistence] Friends of the Rosary, We often talk in the opening comment about the importance of perseverance in prayer. Our eternal Father wants the very best for all of us, starting with the salvation of our own souls. And that’s why we are invited to pray and do it with persistence. In today’s reading (LK 11:5-13), Jesus Christ literally tells us, “Ask and you will receive; seek and y...

October 7, 2020, Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) 07.10.2020

[Comment: Battle of Lepanto] Friends of the Rosary, Each year, on October 7 we celebrate the memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary. In the 16th century, the Virgin Mary intervened at the request of Pope St Pius V and avoided the invasion of Europe by a very powerful Islamic army. That would have been the end of Christianity in the Western Hemisphere. Pope Pius V did not only prayed, but he organized...

October 6, 2020, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) 06.10.2020

[Comment: No Need to Worry] Friends of the Rosary, Jesus teaches us today through Martha that we unnecessarily worry and get anxious about many things (LK 10:38-42). We just need to put our minds and senses on the Lord. He provides everything we need. We might think that this is not realistic considering the issues, problems, and difficulties we all face every day. But as St Paul wrote in one of h...

October 5, 2020, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) 05.10.2020

[Comment: Tenants, Not Owners] Friends of the Rosary, We read yesterday in the New Testament the parable of the landowner who planted a vineyard (MT 21:33-43). The owner of the vineyard is the Lord and we are the tenants, the wretched men who insult the Author of Life and make the mistake of thinking that we own the world. Naturally, the outcome of this behavior is a total disaster for our souls....

October 4, 2020, Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) 04.10.2020

[Comment: Giant of Holiness]   Friends of the Rosary, We celebrate today the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the Italian medieval saint, and father of the Franciscan order. He was a “giant of holiness”, as Pope Benedict XVI recalled. Francis’ father was wealthy but the saint chose a life of poverty. His way of life would give rise to the Franciscan movement, attracting a huge number of follow...

October 3, 2020, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) 03.10.2020

[Comment: Month of the Rosary] Friends of the Rosary, October is the month of the Rosary. Annually, this month is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary ,  primarily due to the fact that on October 7th we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. On this day in 1571, a Christian military coalition led by Spain defeated the Turkish Muslim forces in Lepanto, Greece. The Christians won...

October 2, 2020, Memorial of the Guardian Angels, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) 02.10.2020

[Comment: Angelic Guardianship] Friends of the Rosary, It is a truth of our Catholic faith that each soul has assigned to it a guardian angel. In today's Gospel, Jesus points out that all people, even little children, have a guardian angel in heaven watching over us and looking at the face of God throughout their mission on earth (Matthew 18:10). It is also written that the Lord Jesus was strength...

[Comment: Little Acts of Charity] Friends of the Rosary, Today, while we pray our daily Rosary we honor the life of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus – St. Thérèse of Lisieux, popularly known as "the Little Flower”. Many miracles have been attributed to her intercession. St. Thérèse of Lisieux was a French Carmelite nun who died of tuberculosis at the age of 24 in 1897. Her interior life is known thr...

[Comment: Evil Tongue] Friends of the Rosary, Wisdom comes from above. And wisdom, as St. James writes in his third letter of the New Testament, is peaceable, gentle, full of mercy, and good fruits. Here on earth, as we stumble we regrettably follow unspiritual, even demonic practices. One comes from the lack of control of our tongue. As James, the Apostle says our tongue is full of evil and deadl...

[Comment: Servants and Messengers of God]  Friends of the Rosary, We celebrate today the feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael Archangels. They all three have important roles in the history of salvation. Their existence is a truth of faith. They are heavenly beings, servants, or messengers of God. They are pure, created spirits, non-corporeal; they have intellect and will, and are imm...

[Comment: Holding Mary’s Hand] Friends of the Rosary, Padre Pio lived with the Rosary in his hands. He was always seen fingering his Rosary beads in his monastery in San Giovanni Rotondo, in Italy, where he lived and is now buried. We’ve collected seven of his key thoughts about the Rosary: • ”It was Our Lady who taught us this prayer, just as it was Jesus who taught us th...

[Comment: Patient Suffering] Friends of the Rosary, Today, we commemorate the Memorial of the Italian Franciscan priest St. Pio of Petrelcina, better known as “Padre Pio”, a saint of the last century. Known for his patient suffering, fervent prayer, and miracles, he became a worldwide point of pilgrimage. During the first World War, he offered himself as a spiritual “victim” for the end to the con...

[Comment: Second Wave] Friends of the Rosary, The United States marked today a somber milestone: 200,000 Americans have died from the coronavirus. Moreover, doctors worry about an “apocalyptic fall” as the COVID virus spreads. Eight months later, the main question still is who conceived, financed, and released this virus? Why generate a global pandemic? Humanity has been hit badly but it hasn’t re...

I...

[Comment: Rosaries in Heaven] Friends of the Rosary, Father Dominic of Prussia was a Carthusian monk and ascetical writer, born in Poland in the fourteenth century. Deeply devoted to the Holy Rosary, he received numerous spiritual favors. According to St Louis de Montfort's narration, Dominic the Carthusian had this vision. He saw the whole heavenly court assembled and singing the Rosary in an enc...

September 18, 2020, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) 18.09.2020

[Comment: Patience, Never Sadness] Friends of the Rosary, We cannot live as Christians without participating in the Sacrifice of the Cross. We absolutely need the Sorrowful Mysteries to meditate upon the passion and death of Jesus Christ. Immaculate Mary reminded it in her last apparitions, including the one at Garabandal in Spain, sixty years ago. The Lamb of God emptied himself and gave His life...

September 17, 2020, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries) 17.09.2020

[Comment: Meaning of Existence] Friends of the Rosary, What‘s the meaning of our existence? St Paul provided a great explanation (ROM 14:7-9): “None of us lives for oneself, and no one dies for oneself. For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.” Profound words: We live for Jesus Christ. We serve the Lord and take c...

[Comment: Why God Sacrificed His Son?] Friends of the Rosary, Why did God send his only Son to our dysfunctional world? God knew in advance that we wouldn’t recognize His Son, treating Him like a criminal. Despite so, Jesus Christ came from Heaven and went to the poor, the forgotten, and those crippled by sin. Jesus brought the light and love of God and set on earth the Catholic Church, His Mystic...
