April 3, 2021, Holy Saturday with the Blessed Mother, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) 03.04.2021 28:40
[Comment: Silence] Friends of the Rosary: Today, Holy Saturday — from Sabbatum Sanctum , its liturgical name — we remember in silence Christ in the tomb. His broken body, with mortal wounds still visible, rests in peace in the grave, while has His soul descended to the dead. We meditate upon his agony and cruel death upon the Cross. The disciples scattered, filled with fear and confusion. The Most...
April 2, 2021, Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) 02.04.2021 27:26
[Comment: Crucifixion] Friends of the Rosary: Today, Good Friday, we commemorate the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. We observe Holy Friday as part of the Paschal Triduum preceding Easter Sunday. It coincides with the Jewish observance of Passover. For Catholics, it’s a fasting and prayer day. There is no celebration of the Eucharist. In the afternoon, ideally at three o’clock, we attend th...
April 1, 2021, Holy Thursday Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries) 01.04.2021 27:52
[Comment: Holy Thursday] Friends of the Rosary: Today, Holy Thursday Evening is the Mass of the Lord’s Supper — which includes the washing of the feet of the apostles, in imitation of Christ’s humble act of deep service and merciful love. As we enter into the holiest days of the year, we walk with Jesus Christ in the celebration of the Passover with His disciples, and His prayer and arrest in the...

[Comment: Crucifying Jesus] Friends of the Rosary: This Wednesday of Holy Week we continue reflecting upon the sacred mysteries and ask forgiveness for our personal and collective sins. How often do we offend and even crucify Jesus Christ? The Jewish Sanhedrin along with the Temple’s priests and the political system condemned to death to the Author of Life and the society of that time either cheer...
March 30, 2021, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) 30.03.2021 29:32
[Comment: Watchful] Friends of the Rosary: Today, Tuesday of Holy Week, we read on the Gospel that Satan entered Judas the Iscariot (Jn 13:21-33, 36-38). This disciple — who spent years with Jesus, sharing his fellowship, learning the truth, and witnessing all kinds of miracles and wonders — suddenly embraced evil and became the betrayer. How was that even possible? It's what scholars call the mys...

[Comment: Intercession] Friends of the Rosary: This Monday of Holy Week, while we examine our conscience, we read in the Scriptures the passage of Mary of Bethany anointing Jesus with costly perfume, and Judas the Iscariot reproaching her (Jn 12:1-11). Judas, the disciple who would betray Jesus, said: “Why was this oil not sold for three hundred days’ wages and given to the poor?” St. John the Eva...
March 28, 2021, Palm Sunday, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) 28.03.2021 29:50
[Comment: Holy Week] Friends of the Rosary: Today we celebrate Palm and Passion Sunday and begin the solemnity of the Holy Week. Palms are distributed at Mass, and since they are blessed, they are sacramental. Following the Jews’ example when Christ entered Jerusalem, we proclaim the victory of the Messiah, and we recognize His submission to the Cross defeating sin and the power of the Evil One. W...

[Comment: Healing] Friends of the Rosary: Tomorrow we start the Holy Week with the feast of Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion, which commemorates Jesus’ humble entry into Jerusalem to observe Passover. From tomorrow’s Passion Sunday and until Holy Saturday, on April 3rd, we will reflect upon the events leading up to Jesus’ death by crucifixion. During Holy Week, Jesus shows us the suffering of the...
March 26, 2021, Friday of Sorrows, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) 26.03.2021 29:09
[Comment: Spiritual Martyrdom] Friends of the Rosary: Today, on the fifth week of Lent, the Friday before Palm Sunday is the Friday of Sorrows or Viernes de Dolores . This devotion started in the 15th century and is specially celebrated in Italy, Latin America, Spain, and the Philippines. This feast is a remembrance of the sorrowful Blessed Virgin Mary, who suffered a spiritual martyrdom. It highl...
March 25, 2021, Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries) 25.03.2021 29:27
[Comment: Salvation] Friends of the Rosary: Today, we solemnly honor the mystery of the Annunciation: Christ’s incarnation, the central point of human history. Christ entered the world assuming human nature in the womb of the Virgin Mary. God wanted to entrust His plan of salvation into the hands of a virgin. Mary said “yes” to the angel Gabriel. She gave her “fiat”. “Behold, I am the handmaid of...

[Comment: Patient Suffering] Friends of the Rosary: This Sunday is Palm Sunday. Jesus Christ enters into his own city on a humble donkey. The Son of God is completing his work as our Messiah: He would suffer an excruciating passion and death — defeating mankind’s sin and the power of Satan — and He would rise again triumphant and immortal. Jesus would be the first resurrected man in history. With...

[Comment: Addiction] Friends of the Rosary: There is a silent epidemic around us more widespread than the Covid virus: pornography. Pornographic imagery is easily accessible through the Internet today. From a medical perspective, the consumption of pornography has neurological effects similar to those caused by drugs. Over time, the brain becomes physically addictive and starts to develop toleranc...

[Comment: Jesus Living Again Through the Rosary] Friends of the Rosary: The Holy Rosary is a divine tool at our hands. For the laity, it’s a portable bible and a sword to battle everyday problems. The Rosary came to us from the hands of Our Mother in Heaven, through St. Dominic. A devout Dominican priest, Fr. Marie Etienne Vayssiere often mentioned that his evening Rosary was his “evening Communio...

[Comment: One Year of Grace] Friends of the Rosary: This fifth Sunday of Lent is the first anniversary of The Rosary Network. It’s been 365 days reciting the Holy Rosary, online, and in a group. Now, this humble initiative is being followed by thousands across all the states of the Union and 102 countries—mostly through Apple and Google’s Podcast, and Spotify. Also, YouTube’s daily broadcast gathe...

[Comment: Dissecting God] Friends of the Rosary: Scholars, intellectuals, and religious leaders often reflect and talk about God. History, philosophy, and arts have spent centuries dissecting God. However, after much reflection and conflict, mankind doesn’t understand the Divinity. It might be that our pride and material interests cloud our judgment. Jesus Christ is the icon of God. Jesus’ words a...
March 19, 2021, Solemnity of St. Joseph, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) 19.03.2021 27:47
[Comment: Humble, Silent, and Strong Man] Friends of the Rosary: Today is the Solemnity Day of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and guardian and father of Jesus Christ. Today, many religious orders and communities are placed under his patronage. St. Joseph was a “silent” man: no words of his were recorded in the Gospel. A paramount example of humility, as well as a model of str...

[Comment: Parishes that Flourish] Friends of the Rosary: The vast majority of parishes in the U.S. and all over the world do not include the Holy Rosary in their devotional practices. Those parishes will never flourish. The Virgin Mary wants us to daily pray the Rosary and meditate on the mysteries. At Fatima, in 1917, each time she appeared held a Rosary. On October 13’s apparition, when 70,000 p...

[Comment: Spreading the Faith] Friends of the Rosary: Today we honor and pray to St. Patrick. He was an influential saint who brought Catholicism to Ireland fifteen centuries ago. The whole country was converted from their pagan gods to the one true faith. Across history, Ireland would play a large role in spreading the truth to all corners of the world, including the U.S. In this autobiography, h...

[Comment: Spiritual Discipline] Friends of the Rosary: Before beginning his public ministry, Jesus Christ spent 40 days fasting in the desert, while enduring temptation by Satan. During six weeks, until the evening of Holy Thursday, believers solemnly observe Lent in imitation of the sacrifice of Jesus in the wilderness. We commit to prayer, almsgiving, fa...

[Comment: Light of Christ] Friends of the Rosary: Every passage and sentence in The New Testament has a deep meaning, many times beyond our limited human comprehension. Yesterday, in John’s Gospel (3:14-21), the Son of the living God revealed to Nicodemus: "The light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light because their works were evil. For ev...

[Comment: Divinity of Jesus] Friends of the Rosary: As we learn in the second Joyful mystery today and read in the New Testament yesterday (Mk 12:28-34), the second greatest commandment is to The secular world either denies the existence of the living Christ or presents Him as a moral teacher, effectively rejecting His divinity. Sadly, lukewarm Catholics get confused. R...

[Comment: Meaning of Love] Friends of the Rosary: As we learn in the second Joyful mystery today and read in the New Testament yesterday (Mk 12:28-34), the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus Christ said: "To love your neighbor as yourself is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." At this point, when talking about love, we need...

[Comment: Wounded Nature] Friends of the Rosary: Do we believe that the New Testament is the eternal word of God? Why then so many do question some of the teachings of the Gospel? One example: In the reading yesterday (Lk 11:14-33), Jesus Christ Himself said: "Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters." In other words: We are with Christ and g...

[Comment: Ten Commandments] Friends of the Rosary: Lent is a spiritual preparation to rebuild our lives. We need to start with the fundamentals of our faith. These fundamentals of our moral and spiritual life are the Ten Commandments, as we read about last Sunday (Ex 17:3-7). Do we know them—or just remember them from our First Communion? For examining our conscience, we refer to the Ten Co...

[Comment: Fundamental Choice] Friends of the Rosary: Our life is about a fundamental choice: carrying graciously the cross or adopting the slavery of sin. In other words, we are with Jesus Christ and His divine Mother Mary, or we are trapped into the enemies of the eternal truth—namely, the worldliness, sin, and evil. Those who position themselves in the middle are closer to darkness. This Lent is...
