April 28, 2021, Wednesday of the Fourth Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) 28.04.2021 29:39
[Comment: Light of the World] Friends of the Rosary: At the beginning of this fourth week of Easter, we reflected upon Jesus Christ as the Good Shepherd. In today’s reading (Jn 12:44-50), the Lord says: “I came into the world as light, so that everyone who believes in me might not remain in darkness.” There are different ways to express who is the Son of God: the first resurrected man, the Lamb of...

[Comment: Dwelling] Friends of the Rosary: Do we listen to the voice of Jesus Christ? Do we want to help Him to carry the Cross? Do we accept our suffering in atonement for our own sins and the sins of the world? As Jesus showed to the Jews in Jerusalem — as we read today (Jn 10:22-30) — many do not believe and are not among his sheep. This is a sad reality: many might go to hell because they deci...

[Comment: Green Pastures] Friends of the Rosary: Jesus is the good shepherd, as we are also reminded in today’s reading. (John 10:1-10) He is the gate for the sheep that drives us into green pastures, the Psalms state. Jesus is the only one who leads us to abundant life. “Whoever enters through me will be saved.” The Savior warns us against false prophets and ideas. “All who come before me are thi...

[Comment: Injured Sheep] Friends of the Rosary: In today’s reading (John 10:11-18), Jesus reveals to humanity that He is the good shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep — for all of us, no exception. We are one flock, the whole human family, under one divine shepherd, who out of merciful love sacrifices Himself, through his sorrowful passion, for our salvation from sin and spiritual death....
April 24, 2021, Saturday of the Third Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) 24.04.2021 29:18
[Comment: In Big Need] Friends of the Rosary: Jesus is the Spirit that gives life. He is God becoming flesh and inviting us to live in perfect union with Him through the Holy Eucharist and His sacred heart. In today’s reading (John 6:60-29), Jesus Christ says: “The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and life. But there are some of you who do not believe.” Many of the disciples, like many souls...

[Comment: Unconditional Love] Friends of the Rosary: Jesus is the bread of life. This week, we read and meditate upon His words. “I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my Flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” (John 6:51) Jesus Christ gives Himself away as the food that the world needs for today and tomorrow in eter...

[Comment: Faith on Earth?] Friends of the Rosary: After a pandemic year, we should wonder if we are better off. Did we take advantage of the suffering caused by the COVID virus to amend our lives and turn into the eternal truth and freedom of Jesus and Mary? There is the personal dimension and the collective dimension. It doesn’t seem that collectively the true faith has advanced. We are not seein...

[Comment: Successful Life] Friends of the Rosary: Our modern society presses us to be successful, and that’s measured by money, prestige, and influence. As long as we don’t worship money and tangible things, this is not a sin. However, the real question is if this kind of material success brings us joy that endures. Only a prayerful life gives us peace, hope, and freedom. Mother Teresa said: “We a...

[Comment: Eternal Food] Friends of the Rosary: Do we believe in Jesus and Mary because we see signs and/or receive gifts from them? Are we just followers of the prosperity gospel? These questions are timeless. In past Sunday's reading, Jesus Christ asked the same to His apostles (Jn 6:22-29). Our Lord said to us: "Do not work for food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life,...

[Comment: Foundation of All Virtues] Friends of the Rosary: Humility is the foundation of all virtues, said St. Augustine. If we are arrogant, ignorant, and unable to forgive, we fall and poison our soul. In the passage of Acts of the Apostles (Acts 3:13-15, 17-19) that we read yesterday, St. Peter said that the Author of Life was put to death out of ignorance. People at that time denied th...

[Comment: Resurrected Body] Friends of the Rosary: As Peter explains in the first ready today (Acts 3:13-15, 17-19), "you put the author of life to death, but God raised him from the dead; of this we are witnesses." Luke the Apostle narrates one of the apparitions of the risen Jesus to his eleven disciples (Luke 24:35–48). Jesus Christ tells them: "Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself...
April 17, 2021, Saturday of the Second Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) 17.04.2021 29:21
[Comment: Giver of Life] Friends of the Rosary: Christmas marks Jesus Christ’s incarnation and birth; Easter, His resurrection after a sorrowful passion; and Pentecost, the arrival of the Holy Spirit. All these joyful festivities — that the majority of people miss or misunderstand — help to model our existence in imitation to Jesus and Mary. Specifically, during this Easter season of 2021, we prep...
April 16, 2021, Friday of the Second Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) 16.04.2021 28:06
[Comment: Strengthen For Combat] Friends of the Rosary: This Easter we enjoy, through the Resurrection, the victory of truth over sin and darkness. We will feel Jesus’ ocean of mercy over our lives — as long as we do our spiritual and sacramental homework. However, if the get distracted we might easily fall. The soul must be watchful. The mystic St Maria Faustina Kowalska very often heard from Jes...

[Comment: Words Not Passing Away] Friends of the Rosary: It's good to be creative and cultivate imagination. But when it's about eternal truths is preferable to stick to the Scriptures. As John wrote — and we read today (John 2:31-36) — "the one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things" and "the one whom God sent speaks the words of God." Our arrogance and lack of humility bring...
April 14, 2021, Wednesday of the Second Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) 15.04.2021 28:28
[Comment: Choice] Friends of the Rosary: Today, Wednesday on the second week of Easter, the Holy Spirit, through John the Apostle, brings a reading (John 3:16-21) in The New Testament that seems to be written for our age. It’s a powerful message. It highlights first the Divine Mercy. God comes to offer us the opportunity to amend our sinful life, repent and believe in Him. This way we achieve peac...

[Comment: Holy Spirit] Friends of the Rosary: In today's reading, John narrates the passage of Jesus talking to Nicodemus, one of the most knowledgeable scholars of Judea, an old Pharisee and a member of the Sanhedrin, identified by the Lord as "the teacher of Israel". Imagine a conversation between the Son of God and a kind of Nobel prize winner and the most qualified Ph. D. professor of that tim...

[Comment: An Example to Others] Friends of the Rosary: We all are sinners because sin is part of our human condition. Jesus Christ came to Earth to save us through His life, passion, death, and resurrection. He showed us the Father’s mercy and instructed us to be witnesses of mercy. His disciples — as we read in the Acts of the Apostles this Easter – were recognized for sharing their mercy with an...
April 11, 2021, Divine Mercy Sunday, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) 11.04.2021 29:16
[Comment: Ocean of Mercy] Friends of the Rosary: Today is the Divine Mercy Sunday. St. Maria Faustina Kowalska, the apostle of the Divine Mercy, featured in her Diary the request of Jesus Christ to institute this festivity on the second Sunday of Easter. Pope St. John Paul II made it official. With this devotion, and especially with the prayer of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, “we unite ourselves with...
April 10, 2021, Saturday in the Octave of Easter, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) 10.04.2021 27:32
[Comment: Divine Mercy] Friends of the Rosary: Tomorrow, on the Second Sunday of Easter, it concludes the Octave of Easter, and we celebrate the Feast of the Divine Mercy. The Polish nun St. Faustina Kowalska, the big mistic of the XXth century, wrote a Diary with conversations and visitations from Jesus Christ. The Lord asked St. Faustina Kowalska to paint the vision of his merciful divinity bein...

[Comment: Resurrection and Patience] Friends of the Rosary: Jesus revealed himself to his disciples for the third time after being raised from the dead, as we read in the Gospel today (Jn 21:1-14). This time, at the Sea of Tiberias, while they were fishing. John, the beloved disciple, quickly identified that it was Jesus who was with them, but the others didn’t realize it. Maybe they needed a litt...

[Comment: Fountain of Mercy] Friends of the Rosary: The reading of this Thursday of the Octave of Easter (Lk 24:35-48), narrates that the Son of God appeared in the midst of the apostles. Jesus revealed to them eternal truths pertaining to human existence. Only the very foolish among us can deny the authority of Jesus Christ and everything written about him in the Scriptures. The Lamb of God said:...

[Comment: Overflowing Joy] Friends of the Rosary: The first eight days of the Easter season — and today is the fourth — are celebrated as solemnities. Each day is a little Easter. Like the first witnesses – Mary of Magdala and others – we should experience great joy in discovering that the Master is alive. Being Christ alive, having risen from the dead means that He is present and He accompanies o...

[Comment: Our Cross] Friends of the Rosary: We must identify our own crosses in life. They are not just small inconveniences and difficulties in our day-to-day dwelling. A cross is much more persistent and heavier. It can be a disease, a physical impediment, an emotional struggle, lack of skills or education, economic poverty, social rejection, a bad marriage… After prayer, we can diagnose correct...

[Comment: Ambassadors] Friends of the Rosary: Let’s experience the power of Easter. These fifty days of Easter — until May 23rd, the feast of Pentecost — are a unique opportunity to put love and hope into action. Our godless, hopeless, and troubled world around desperately needs to believe in the joy of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. We should wonder how can we show love in our li...
April 4, 2021, Solemnity of Easter Sunday, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) 04.04.2021 29:23
[Comment: Resurrection] Friends of the Rosary: Today, Easter Sunday is the feast of feasts, the solemnity of joy and gladness of all Christians. Jesus has risen! The motive of our joy is clear: sin is destroyed, death overcome, and the certitude of the resurrection of our body and immortality obtained. The Son of God, through the sacrifice of His passion, has purchased our salvation and eternal li...
