Dec 9, 2021, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 09.12.2021

Friends of the Rosary: The Catechism notes: "The knot of Eve's disobedience was untied by Mary's obedience: what the virgin Eve bound through her disbelief, Mary loosened by her faith." John Paul II explained: "In contemplating this mystery in a Marian perspective, we can say that "Mary, at the side of her Son, is the most perfect image of freedom and of the liberation of humanity and of the unive...

Dec 8, 2021, Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) 08.12.2021

Friends of the Rosary: Today, a holy day of obligation, is the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mary had a human father and mother. But her birth was unique because to become the mother of Jesus, she was enriched with singular grace and privilege by God, preserved immune from the original sin and protected from contracting any personal sin her whole life. She was...

Dec 7, 2021, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 07.12.2021

Friends of the Rosary: The Father Creator of Heaven and Earth doesn’t want any soul to be lost. In this goal, we are called to collaborate. Human existence is all about converting ourselves and converting others into the eternal truth, so we truly enjoy the union with God. In today’s reading (Mt 18:12-14), Jesus Christ tells about it. “It is not the will of your Heavenly Father that any of the lit...

Dec 6, 2021, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 06.12.2021

Friends of the Rosary: In this season of Advent and on the month dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, the best person we can turn to for help is the Mother of Jesus and our Mother. The preparation of the Blessed Virgin Mary for the birth of Jesus was absolute. Her purity, prayerfulness, and unconditional submission to God’s made Her the role model for humanity. The Most Blessed Mary, all-perfec...

Dec 5, 2021, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 05.12.2021

Friends of the Rosary: A topic many people like to talk about is the end of the world. We read this season of Advent that the coming of Jesus in a cloud with power and glory will signal the end of time as we know it (Luke 21:20-28). However, the Son of God is coming now through the mystery of the Eucharist to each one of us. We have a living God, in our midst, and we must do an effort to reco...

Dec 4, 2021, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 04.12.2021

Friends of the Rosary: This December 8 is the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. The Blessed Virgin Mary was conceived free from original sin. It means that Mary received the gift of salvation in Christ from the moment of her conception. The universal Church had this belief from the beginning. And in 1852, Pope Pius IX proclaimed this dogma in the solemn declaration titled “Ineffabilis Deus.”...

Dec 3, 2021, Memorial of St. Francis Xavier, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 03.12.2021

Friends of the Rosary: Today, December 3, is the Memorial Day of St. Francis Xavier, born in the old Kingdom of Navarre, in Spain, five centuries ago. This saint, one of the most notorious missionaries ever and one of the first seven Jesuits, was sent by Ignatius of Loyola to evangelize India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Japan. In his ten years apostolate, he instructed the adults, gathered th...

Dec 2, 2021, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 02.12.2021

Friends of the Rosary: Following Divine Will is our ticket to Heaven. In reality, it’s the only way. Jesus revealed to his disciples in today’s reading (Mt 7:21, 24-27):  “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in Heaven.” Friends, we have only one thing we can offer to Our Father: our freedom. The Christian...

Dec 1, 2021, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 01.12.2021

Friends of the Rosary: December is a month dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, whose solemnity day takes place on December 8. The first 24 days of the month are Advent, the season when we prepare for the coming of the Christ Child. After Advent, it’s the Christmas season. The month of December includes important feasts. These are some of our favorites at The Rosary Network: December 3:&nb...

Nov 30, 2021, Feast of St. Andrew, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 30.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: Today, November 30, the universal church celebrates the feast of the apostle and martyr St. Andrew, a fisherman from Bethsaida, in Galilee, and a former disciple of John the Baptist. He was the one who introduced his brother Peter to Jesus, saying, "We have found the Messiah" (Jn. 1:40-42). Andrew and John were the first disciples to follow the Lord. He spread Christianity i...

Nov 29, 2021, Monday of the First Week of Advent, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 29.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: Advent is the liturgical season of preparation for the joy and light of Jesus Christ in Christmas. The Good Lord came to the world through the Blessed Virgin Mary to save us from our darkness and sinful behavior. God wants us immaculate after we resurrect — and for that, we need to learn to carry our own crosses graciously. Advent also reminds us of Christ’s glorious second...

Nov 28, 2021, First Sunday of Advent, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 28.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: Today, on the first Sunday of Advent, all of us who follow Christ begin a period of a renewed commitment to the faith. Advent is a time of vigilant waiting that prepares us to welcome the mystery of the Word Incarnate. The true light enters the world through the immaculate Mary. The light flows out into our dark, obscure, and sinful lives to illuminate them. To wait for the...

Nov 27, 2021, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 27.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: Today, Saturday, November 27, in some regions, the feast of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal is celebrated. The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to St. Catherine Laboure in 1830 in Paris, instructing her to make a very special medal. All who wear it would receive many graces. The medal showed Mary holding a golden globe symbolizing the world. On her fingers, there were rings emi...

Nov 26, 2021, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 26.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: We might not see it, but faith, cultivated through prayer, is our richness on Earth. In yesterday’s reading (Lk 17:11-19) Jesus Christ King of the Universe, author along with the Father and the Holy Spirit, of all things, reminded us that faith is saving us. The Evil Doer cheats us making us think that only what we physically see and hear is real. When you suffer a loss, as...

Nov 25, 2021, Thanksgiving Day, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 25.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: We rejoice by celebrating Thanksgiving today. As Christians following the True Faith, we always must be grateful to the Lord Jesus, because we live for Him. The lack of gratefulness is an offense, as we don’t recognize His glory and what He did in the Cross for each one of us. And a historic note. The first Thanksgiving in the U.S. was actually a Catholic celebration. O...

Nov 24, 2021, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 24.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: Do we belong to the truth or do we follow the worldly rules that fit our own interests? An apostasy is underway in many parts of the world, and in some parts of the Catholic Church. Given that, we need to react and discern where is the truth. And the truth always is Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. Last Sunday, He told us in...

Nov 23, 2021, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 23.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: On her second message on June 18, 1965, Our Lady of Mount Carmel of Garabandal asked us to "reflect on the Passion of Jesus." "You should turn the wrath of God away from yourselves by your own efforts. If you ask His forgiveness with a sincere heart, He will pardon you." "I, your Mother, through the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel, wish to tell you that you should...

Nov 22, 2021, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 22.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: St. Maria Faustina Kowalska, graced by a special communion with God, expressed her conviction that this communion ought to be the center of our lives. Faustina Kowalska, “the great apostle of Divine Mercy of in our time”, as St. John Paul II hailed, was given by Jesus a great share in His joy and glory. In San Sebastian de Garabandal, Spain, where we pray today the Joyful My...

Nov 21, 2021, Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 21.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: Today, Sunday, November 21st, along with the memorial of the Presentation of Mary, is the solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. The will of the Son is to save all the souls from the slavery of sin. The Blessed Virgin Mary reminded us in Garabandal, Spain, the urgent need to repent by asking forgiveness to her divine Son. Jesus Christ, all mercy,...

Nov 20, 2021, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 20.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: Sixty years ago, Our Lady of Mount Carmel of Garabandal, La Virgen del Carmen de Garabandal, along with St Michael the Archangel, started to appear to four girls for four continuous years in a remote village in the north of Spain, near Santander. The Blessed Virgin Mary reminded the messages of Fatima, calling for an urgent conversion of heart. On the first message, the Holy...

Nov 19, 2021, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 19.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: Nothing in this world lasts forever. In Spain, there is a popular saying that you hear in daily conversations, for example, in retail: “Para siempre, Dios,” “Forever it is only God.” Over and over again, Jesus repeats in the Gospel that our deepest commitments should be for God. Yesterday’s shocking reading (Luke 19:41-41), forecasting the destruction of an entire city, high...

Nov 18, 2021, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 18.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: Three days before dying at the ICU in La Paz Hospital in Madrid on October 28, María Blanca left us a WhatsApp audio file saying: "Be hopeful, everything is all right; we don't live for ourselves, we live for God." Amidst intense suffering, my holy wife had the clarity to understand that God's given life is eternal. Real joy and happiness are acquired by serving Jesus and Ma...

Nov 17, 2021, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 17.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: As we read last Sunday (Mk 13:24-32) and we grasp in the second Glorious mystery, Jesus Christ, who is seated at the right hand of the Father, will come again to end the human history as we know it. It will be a dramatic, final judgment day. For each one of us, it will be the moment of all or nothing. In the face of God, we will face eternity forever — once being purified in...

Nov 16, 2021, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 16.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: We invoke the Communion of Saints — which comprises all of the saints, not only the officially declared — they can help us on our heroic mission of accepting the suffering of the Cross. And while we model our lives in the imitation of Jesus and Mary, we offer our suffering to God in a ramson payment for our own sins and the sins of others. In our struggle, we will end up exp...

Nov 15, 2021, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | In Memoriam of Maria Blanca 15.11.2021

Friends of the Rosary: Today's Rosary is prayed in Cardeñosa de Ávila, a tiny village close to Ávila, the medieval Spanish city and the birthplace of the mystic St. Teresa.  In Cardeñosa de Ávila was born and baptized my wife Maria Blanca 62 years ago. Here, we found a hill with the fifteen stations of the cross, dated in the XI-XIII centuries. This Calvary with stone crosses resembles the Vi...
