Today's Key to Confident Living

Are you fearful to move because you are afraid it will be the wrong move or that something bad will happen?  God calls us to stay the course, to keep the faith even when times are difficult.

You may be faced with some difficult challenges today.  Rather than looking at them with drudgery, why not ask God to help you see what joy there can be if you will just look in the right places.

Thankful people have a nice ability to discern blessings in almost every situation.  They can spot the silver lining even in the black clouds of life.

"Jesus said, "We are the light of the World!"  We may feel our right is very small and of little value, but even a small candle appears bright in a darkened room.  Our light can show someone else the way home.

"Studies show that people who love their work not only are likelier to reach high-level positions, but are also healthier than those who feel burdened."  Attitude is important in your success.

Looking for minute flaws in other people can be damaging to our own growth and development.

One cannot be a truly Christian leader without personal holiness.  This requirement for the person God's desires is absolutely imperative.

Attitude makes the difference in about everything you do.  A positive attitude and tenacity are no match for most of the problems you will face in your life time.

What is really important to you?  What do you really value?  Our time allocation should reflect the things of greatest importance in our lives!

Work is not a dirty four-letter word.  Meaningful work is necessary for human survival.  If you have a job you look forward to on most days, thank the Lord

Do you have anyone in your life who has modeled faithfulness to you or others and you have not thanked them recently?  Why not do it today.

Whether you feel you received fair justice in man's court, we are sure we will receive fair justice in God's court. 

How many warnings do we before we get the hint.  God gives us warnings long before he gives us a ticket.

King Hanun made a terrible decision, which cost countless numbers of lives, because he made the wrong choice in correcting an embarrassing mistake.

Leaders can make either good or bad decisions depending on their ability to discern what is really happening around them and their willingness to face reality.

Most of us will never have the deep scars of physical disfigurement yet millions have deep emotional scars that cause them tremendous pain and limit their effectiveness.  But love can be the great liberator - healer.

"Mosquitos remind us that little things can make a big impact."  How can the tongue - this little muscle in the mouth - cause so many problems?

"A cheerful heart is the same as giving good medicine," says the writer of the Proverbs.  You don't need a prescription to give or receive this good medicine.  It is contagious.

What kind of attitude do you have when you get up in the morning?  Are you beat down or do you head off to work with a spring in your step?

Honesty doesn't always pay off this well, but it always pays off.

Do habits and appetites control us or do we control them?  With God's help we can take control of our life and become the person God designed us to be.

In Psalms 23, the sheep did not fear the valleys of life because they knew the shepherd was with them.

The Bible says, "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."  But often they catch more than what they are taught.

The Shepherd in the 23rd Psalm carried a rod or a short stick as a means of protection.  This rod along with his staff were the two items the Shepherd carried for help in defending the flock.

I heard Dr. Ben Carson say on several occasions, "My mother refused to let us feel we were victims."  Adversity may be difficult to overcome, but adversity can also make us stronger.  The person always blaming adversity will seldom be successful.
