Bonus Mid-week episode! Ever wondered what happens when you take one of the most mechanically passive games and then make someone else play it for you? This week we went to Dear Esther Live at the Brighton Dome to find out. It's Dear Esther, but LIVE.

We've returned from our assignments and we've got a few things to report to the council (that's you in this metaphor). Monsters were hunted, cats were cuddled and 3 hrs were played on this weeks Timeplayed: 3hr.

We use this podcast as an excuse to finally get back to our friends at Shujin Academy. Is Ryuji still a complete dingus? How many detectives are there now? And does Louis like everyone more now that he doesn't have to sit on the floor?

This week Lochie got Louis to play the same 30 seconds of a game he's already played for three hours all in the name of speed running. What a racket.

This week we're playing everything but Trine 3. We talk about the weirdo character designs in Warframe. The great character creator in Dragon Ball Zenoverse. The aesthetic pleasure of city builders like Kingdoms and Castles. The incentives to play League Of Legends. and Zelda... yep.

It's the winter holiday so we got the squad back together to play a little PUBG. What is PUBG? Is PUBG a video game? Is PUBG some ridiculous acronym for a video game with an equally ridiculous name? Lochie makes Louis play a game he really doesn't want to play on what this week we're calling 'Time Played: 2hr'. We discuss unclear game direction, the perfect '2nd screen games' and how fantasy role-playing has evolved over time. We've got a big ol' episode for you today. Turns out we did in fact have a butt tonne of things to say about Mirrors Edge Catalyst, the sequel to one of our favorite games. Lochie liked the combat... Other than that it's a straight hour of us bagging on the game. We talk about its failed open world, the confusing art style and wether or not Faith makes a squish sound when she falls to her death.

We discuss games that force you into a routine, the game service itch.io and the impact an ending can have on the overall experience of a game.

This week Louis plays The Binding Of Isaac for 3 hours to try to figure out how in the world Lochie has played it for 800. They talk about player progression, religion in games but mostly Louis bludgeons Lochie with questions to find out about all the little secrets his measly 3hr playtime couldn't possibly answer.

We're getting artsy this week in Passpartout: The Starving Artist. Lochie slathered his pixel canvas with calming beach scenes in an attempt to please the detestable Benjamin, whilst Louis got increasingly frustrated at everyones distain for his love of the colour pink.

A real great ep where the boys go back and play Just Cause 2, a A+ classic in our eyes. A slight change to set up where we both get involved with something we've played before. With talk about putting all your eggs in one basket and works wonders.

We back. Lochie plays Quadrilateral Cowboy; a game you where code your way through puzzles to pull off heists. A cool game but the boys have some conflicting views.

Another week has passed. Three more hours have been spent. This week, Lochie urged Louis to get back to Undertale, he has happily obliged and has lots to gush about. Though, most of the time he spends just trying to explain what Undertale actually is.
