Thoughts of a TechnoWizard
An audiojournal documenting my journey to become a TechnoWizard (or perhaps a TechnoAnarchoShaman).I want to help bring forth better futures for all. That means creating a world of worlds that is more sustainable, ecologically stable, spiritual, ancestral, accessible, communal, ambitious, magical, and anarchistic. This is a world where we are all richer than rich; where all needs are met, and we instead solve better problems on a grander scale.

Egotism, Abortion, and the Apathy of Binary Logic - A triggering Diatribe 02.09.2021 38:16
Big TW!! I try to process the upsetting news about the new Texas abortion laws. Are these people truly incapable of empathy and emotional intelligence? Or can we help these people be reasoned with? This seems to me to be another case against vertical hierarchy and the need for anarchic communities.
Midweek Rambles - Schooling, Hiring, and Arcade Goals 01.09.2021 59:35
Today, I ramble on about the problem of compulsory schooling and our education system, how to make it better, and being frustrated with feeling like I can't help my siblings much. I also bumble my way through the problems with Applicant Tracking Systems and hiring practices. Finally, I talk a bit about my goals for the arcade I'll be returning to...
Growing pains of a polymath/multipotentialite 30.08.2021 28:36
Today, I share some thoughts I had talking to a fellow polymath. I share my self esteem issues and why I have associated confidence with arrogance for so long. I talk about the idea of letting my productivity emerge out of my system as opposed to trying to be productive with each thing I do. Finally, I talk about why it's so hard for me to apply to jobs and be okay with them as ladders... It's lik...
Anthropology allows us to begin balancing the spreadsheet of humanity. 27.08.2021 51:30
I start talking about battle rap with King Los vs Daylyt, then I get into hunter gatherer anthropology from this encyclopedia: https://www.anthroencyclopedia.com/entry/hunting-and-gathering and finally end on capitalism and the problems of vertical hierarchy. Here is the video on the evolution of traffic laws: https://youtu.be/CFgqNiFi0cw
The Power of being interconnected, being curious, and being cooperative. 26.08.2021 1:32:32
Today I throw some ideas in the air about how the world is interconnected, how ideas such as language and domains are made up, and how we can make a better society by building systems, technologies, and hierarchies where people have power With but not power Over. Freedom is best when we each can do what we want without fear of somebody else forcefully constraining that freedom.

Catching you all up on my week!! Talking about my newsletter, struggling with implementing my ambitious concepts for the Black Ignite talk, and then I share some feedback I want to give them as well.
The infinite complexity in a blade of grass - how we all hold more stories than we tell ourselves 15.08.2021 29:46
I'm not high! But I probably do sound crazy as I reflect on the infinite complexity of a blade of grass and life in general. I wax on about how even the most boring or mundane things and stories could hold an finite amount of detail. I even go on to refute Lex Fridman's idea that death and suffering is necessary to appreciate the beauty of life.
Free Will - Another thought experiment 14.08.2021 53:26
I done thunked 'bout Free Will again taday.... 🤣 But frfr. I think figuring out if free will is an illusion or should be redefined is one of the most important problems to (try to) solve. Not only will it allow us to better understand consciousness, but it will empower us to build better societies, systems, and have more compassion for our fellow humans and life in general.

The true danger of AI and the propaganda of Capitalism 10.08.2021 45:39
I quickly go through some of my thoughts on Lex Fridman's interview with Jeff Hawkins https://youtu.be/Z1KwkpTUbkg and then dive into ideas around capitalism and doughnut economics https://time.com/5930093/amsterdam-doughnut-economics/ and point out how a lot of ideas around capitalism are more propoganda than facts.
Credit is a terribly designed system and off-grid living seems very promising! Solarpunk FTW! 09.08.2021 35:13
I recount my experience this weekend around the retreat. I harp on the frustrating experience of renting a car without a credit card (FIY! I didn't discover Avail and Zipcar until After I got to the retreat, and Turo was way too expensive). I then share the misadventures of our off-grid living and how enlightening it was to see how such a living situation could work.
Right Wing Authoritarianism - A problem of fear mongering and social domination 06.08.2021 43:02
Today, I discuss Saint Andrew's great video on Right Wing Authoritarianism. https://youtu.be/yP6dqzUoQeE It's a great, indepth video that goes into who these people are, why they are that way, and a little bit into how we can better handle them. I talk about the nuances of this idea and how America is pretty much controlled by this group. I also talk a bit about taxes, billionaires, and my work ef...
WeWork - A cautionary tale of arrogance being misconstrued as confidence 05.08.2021 44:27
Yesterday, I watched the WeWork documentary on Hulu with my SO. I talk about how wild it is that people are so easily manipulated into not just blindly following, but giving undue opportunities to on the basis of how 'charming' and 'confident' they seem. I talk about how this focus on excessive work, excuse of harassment and, rampant discrimination creates an inherently exploitive and myopic cultu...
UFOs - Aliens, Space Travel, and other stuff, Part 2 04.08.2021 42:42
If we can achieve relativistic speeds (>90% the speed of light), we could theoretically reach anywhere in the galaxy or beyond within one hundred years or less... But thousands or even millions of years would pass back on the home planet. This means that aliens should be everywhere... But maybe they don't care to colonize or visit planets at all! Maybe they rather just sit around and wait... Here...

Creativity, Game Night, Staying True to Myself, and Theming My Days 02.08.2021 29:42

What makes life worth playing? How can we make life feel more game-like? 28.07.2021 38:47
Today's episode is very... ruminative,... exploratory, and inconclusive. I try to work through my feelings and worries and struggles. I try to figure what makes games so fun and life so... not. How do we make life feel more like the enjoyable game we know it can be? I think there are a number of elements to figure out... Part of this was inspired by this video: https://youtu.be/dE1DuBesGYM
Inter-brain synchronization, fractal communities, and aligning with your mission 27.07.2021 38:28
This morning, I read this amazing article https://www.discovermagazine.com/mind/brains-might-sync-as-people-interact-and-that-could-upend-consciousness from this great research https://academic.oup.com/nc/article/2020/1/niaa010/5856030 I also share my thoughts on how to build more fractal communities. Finally, I talk about Hal Elrod's Achieve Your Goals podcast, where he talks about the importance...
Car-centric cities are STUPID AF!!! 🤬🤬🤬 23.07.2021 56:25
Not Just Bikes made some great videos about some research the Strong Towns nonprofit organization found about car-centric cities. They showed how absolutely terrible, unhealthy, inefficient, ugly, unAmerican, financially wasteful, and all around stupid it is to build cities around cars instead of people. Check it out here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJp5q-R0lZ0_FCUbeVWK6OGLN69ehUTVa
My problem with Jordan Peterson 22.07.2021 1:26:59
I share what I learned about Emotion Wheels and emotional maturity. I also go deep(er than expected) into my problems with Jordan Peterson. In short, I think his ideas on IQ and power structures are inherently biased, limited, and myopic.
