Today I dive into some ideas around subjectivity vs objectivity; why the mind abhors a vacuum and thus why people cling to bad ideas; as well as the nature of consciousness and free will.

Yesterday, I finished my research class (but I'm still gonna go back and look at all the materials!); talked with my friend about playing the game of the workplace; and played Settlers of Catan with my brother.

Today, I share all the projects that I have going on or am starting soon; then I share some ideas I have to stimulate the VR industry through cross platform games; finally, I share my thoughts about the idea that the Luddites were Right about technology and make a case to rehabilitate that term.

In this episode I share the things I'm looking forward to: new projects, new people, promising (but not ideal) career options, and writing about potential positive futures. I think I'm going to try and visualize three futures: humanistic capitalism, decentralized socialism/communism, federated anarchism.

Today I wonder about what I'd say if I was on Lex Fridman's podcast. I also recap my weekend... And even get into some more .. interesting topics such as gender fluidity and VR porn and what it says about the tendency to reduce experiences into overly simplified categories and ideas...

I got some great feedback from my mentors/employers yesterday that really helped me feel better about my competence, it feels good to know you do good work 😁. I also learned about Youth Liberation, Permaculture and some other stuff. But much of today is me ideating about what I would build if I had ample funding for my own arcade/community center/innovation lab!!

I was unproductive yesterday... But I was also productive (I hope) by watching more educational content such as PolyMatter, Saint Andrewism, Tom Nicholas, Today I Found Out, and EcoTechBro. How can we better educate and organize ourselves to be better manifestations of nature? I discuss what I learned from my lazy day yesterday and I how I think about moving towards a better future.

Today, I talk about my feeling demotivated and difficulties with routine. I also talk about how scale fundamentally changes the nature of problems and elements inspired by my read through of the polar bear book on Information Architecture. Finally, I talk about what I have been learning about semiotics and phenomenology.

Just recapping the weekend holiday!

I share a bit how my day went yesterday when I was spiraling into self recrimination. Then I share some thoughts on a convo my fam had yesterday about dating and I turn it into an excuse to talk about my issues with over protective parenting 😜

This is a more low energy entry. I share my feelings of insecurity. I also talk about hip-hop coin.

Don't listen to this if you are prone to existential dread. I had this idea for potentially creating a more realistic and dynamic virtual world, but then I realized that it would probably not work, but that lead me to understand why people would want to create simulated world like ours .. which lead me to truly feeling some existential dread more viscerally than I usually ever feel. I am not sure...

Continuing from yesterday's episode, I share more ideas that I've learned from Lex Fridman's interview with Daniel Smachtenberger. In this entry, I go into the concept of Ritualized Discomfort and talk about why optimizing for comfort is dangerous and why individualized, zero-sum success is also dangerous. We need voluntary, communal struggle. I also talk about language.

I talk a bit about the benefits of qualitative research, my plans to be more consistent on YouTube, and what I learned from watching Lex Fridman's interview with Daniel Smachtenberger on Steering Humanity away from Self Destruction. Such a great episode!! Really loved the idea of Compersion and will also search more up on Consilience.

Today I talk about spending time with my SO. We cooked together, watched some shows, and it was quite fun! I also get into some music I've listened to recently and the importance of album sequencing. (Check out Nathan Zeds video on that!) I also talk about TikTok and Jason Calacanis being to investing in a black-led team building their own Social Media platform.

Today, I share my first forray into Post-Modernism and how it may or may not relate to Wokeism. I share my thoughts on how I think the skeptic approach to objective reality is a great opportunity for curiosity and humility.

What is anarchy? In this entry, I share what I have learned from reading the anarchy.works primer. I talk about how anarchy is NOT the purge, and how our society can actually be much better if it was a bunch of anarchist communities rather than authoritarian regimes and capitalist imperialists. Yes, that's basically blasphemy to say, but check it out for yourself if you think I'm a loon!

After sharing updates on my day, I delve into the problems of Wokeism and cancel culture. I share my thoughts on why I think a focus on race (ie white privilege, white fragility, etc) actually creates more racism. I also speak on conservatism a bit and begin to share my lifelong interest in anarchy.

I've been feeling fairly unmotivated over the last few days,... But I've also been nerding out about consciousness and free will. In this audiojournal, I ramble about my ideas in this topic and how we can better individuals and build a better society by seriously questioning the idea of free will.

What if some UFOs are of non-human terran origin?? In this episode, I play around with the idea that UFOs might be old hominid species... 🤔 I also talk about how important it is for scientists to entertain these ideas. And I may have another podcast coming out today going over my new habits and goals!
