This weekend in the Adirondacks

(Jul 10, 2026) Cooler, drier weather is moving in. Expect muddy trails, warm waters, and busy trailheads, campsites, launches, and parking areas. Also, a beaver warning.

(Jun 26, 2026) Rain and thunderstorms through Saturday, though the forecast for Sunday is looking more pleasant.

(Jun 19, 2026) Expect unsettled weather through the weekend, bringing rising waters and some of the coolest temperatures we’ve seen in a while.

(Jun 12, 2026) It’s going to be quite warm through the weekend. Be sure to drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks.

(Mar 20, 2026) Fresh wet snow in the forecast. High Peaks summit temps in the teens. World Cup Cross Country competition at Van Hoevenberg this weekend.

(Mar 13, 2026) Chance for snow through weekend, especially at higher elevations. Drainages have been seriously affected by recent thaw. Several bridges damaged in High Peaks.

(Mar 6, 2026) Daylight Savings Time begins on Sunday at 2am. Snow at highest elevations remains very deep, 6-8 feet or more.

(Feb 27, 2026) Windchills on summits in single digits below zero on Saturday. 1-2 feet of snow across the Adirondacks at lower elevations. Expect busy snowmobile trails.

(Feb 20, 2026) Gaining 3 minutes of daylight per day. 1-2 feet of snow across most lower elevations in the ADKs.

(Feb 13, 2026) Deep freeze has ended for much of the ADKs. Ski conditions very good everywhere. Keep an eye on the weather for Monday.

(Feb 6, 2026) Dangerously cold windchills of 20 to 40 below expected. Gaining more than 2.5 minutes of sunlight each day. 1-2 ft of snow at lower elevations around ADKs.

(Jan 30, 2026) Snowshoes and skis needed wherever you go. Over four feet of snow at Lake Colden. Nearly all snowmobile trails open in the Adirondacks.

(Jan 23, 2026) Now gaining more than 2 minutes of sunlight each day. Summits should be avoided. Dangerously cold wind chills. 8-12 inches of snow at lower elevations.

(Jan 16, 2026) Backcountry skiing took a big hit with rain and warm weather. Temps will be very cold, especially with windchill. Chance for snow showers through the weekend.
