This Awkward Life

Two words that have been rolling around inside my brian. Potential and Details. Heres what I think they mean for me.

Thats right. Life is a maze ing. Ever been in a maze? I have and I do not enjoy them but God showed me a valuable lesson in one the other day.

Happy birthday to my daddy on what would have been his 78th. I woke up and realized it was his birthday and to be honest, I am a little embarrassed that I didn’t realize it. But this episode is dedicated to him as I used one of my favorite childhood memories of him.

The recent world stage events have showed me so many things but the one that stands out the most is, there is a better prayer than just "Pray For Israel."

Its been a long time since we have seen rain in my part of the world. Today it rained and our inside cat, Kit, decided he would escape for some fun. I also appreciate Sis. Cara Hall leaving a great voice mail. I added it to the end of this episode, its defiantly worth the listen. Thanks sis.

I wanted to try out my social media clout. Well, it didn't go as planed. So, back to the drawing board but it did teach me a lesson. Hopefully they will partner with me in the future. I admire their watches. The Frog

Can a person be positively toxic with positivity? Enthusiasm is a much needed skill in todays market place. So since we have to feel something, why not feel positive?

Joe Namath is widley regarded as one of the all time great quarterbacks. Despite the fact he isn't in the top 50 in passing ayrds or touchdowns. But the one thing he has going for him, is that he won on the biggest stage there is.

Mississippi has been in a drought this summer. But this afternoon the rain fell and it taught me a lesson today.

As my ole grandmother used to say, "Don't let it go to waste."

You're never as good as you would like to appear. In fact, there are times when a person can seem better than they really are, and in those times we can deceive ourselves and others. We can sometimes seem worse than we really are, too. I am glad that God is the one who sees our hearts and ultimately judges us.

I was determined not to let them out of my sight. This was my thought as I ran through the Dallas Fort Worth airport. Trying to make a connecting flight to Salt Lake City, Utah. That was eight years ago, and I can't remember their names, but I remember how they ran confidently from one side of the airport to the other.

We all have a junk drawer somewhere in our home. It is a place we keep things we don't know what to do. Do I need this Popeys receipt from 2013? Well, I may do that. So, we keep it. And within a couple years, we have all sorts of stuff we don't know what to do with.

Internet trolls are as common as fleas on a dog. Now, I have never been trolled on social media often because my nature is to leave people alone. I don't have a big impressive vocabulary and can't type that fast. The other reason is that I care about people's feelings and hate a bully. A troll left a comment on one of my videos today, and I know precisely why it triggered me.

It may come as a shock, but you can be someone who answers prayer. Somebody could need something that only you can or are in a perfect position to provide. Taking a recent survey call reminded me once again that God orders our steps.

My dad knew the best fishing was where everybody else wasn't. He had a special knack for finding these places. The same can be said about many other things.

I hope this memory of mine from my early teen years helps someone today. I was reminded of it this past week and I still learn from it today.
