How do we not become victims of false teachers? By focusing on things that are 'greater'. We look at Colossians and see what Paul says is greater. Here is a hint, it's Jesus, not anything of this world. We also welcome John Upton, with us today, to discuss a new ministry he is leading up at New Temple, and how it will chase the Great Commission we all are called.

Today, we are reminded to let Jesus be our firm foundation. Be encouraged with the start of a new day with His loving kindness, trusting Him in every situation, and guiding us through life's struggles.

Relationship will always be better than religion. Religion/ Legalism is just mankind trying to earn his way to heaven. Relationship is based on Jesus, who swapped places with us, for us to be redeemed.

Happy New Year!! We start the new year with a new season. We look to Colossians and see how Paul confronted false teachers & worldly philosophies, and challenges us to look to the truth of God's word.

Happiness is not Joy. It can share that emotion, but Joy is something that can't be stolen away by the world and its troubles. Only Jesus can give us the gift of TRUE joy and it we must believe in Him to obtain it.
