This week in following the recommendations of the CDC, we didn't meet as a group at The Merriman, but instead we gathered around Facebook Live with Kirk and Carly Owens. They talked with us about practical things we can do to be better equipped to make disciples of our kids and others, and answered a few questions from the audience.

In his final sermon of 2019, Pastor Dustin spoke on the importance of discipleship from Acts 17 as The Bridge prepares for 2020.  His application was a challenge for all Bridgers to find one or two new believers (or unbelievers) to invest in in 2020.

Today Pastor Dustin Clegg continues with A Bridge Christmas and demonstrates from Luke 1:46-50 that Hilarious Joy (1) flows from a person who interprets their circumstances through who God is, and (2) Hilarious Joy is connected to humility and finding value in who Jesus says we are. The application of today's message is to live constantly aware of what Jesus has done for us.

Today Pastor Dustin Clegg continues with A Bridge Christmas as we look at Matthew 2:13-23. Dustin emphasizes two important things to see in this passage: (1) Christmas has always represented hope in the midst of intense pain, and (2) the Spirit of God awakens people to care for the vulnerable.

Teaching out of Luke 2:25-35, Dustin spoke about how the peace that Jesus brings is always accompanied by conflict.  It is to be expected, and even Jesus found Himself in the middle of conflict as He extended His peace to others.

Today we gathered, shared a meal together, and celebrated all that the Lord has done in 2019. Kirk called each of the 20 forward who have been baptized so far this year, and some shared their story with the church family. It was a great day of fellowship, thanksgiving, and celebration.

Today we walk through Mark 2:1-12 with Pastor Kirk Owens as he makes 2 key points: (1) Followers of Jesus who make up the Bridge Church must bring the hurting to Jesus, and (2) Everyone can and needs to know who Jesus really is.

Today is recognized as Orphan Sunday and The Bridge Church participates by hearing from two young families who have adopted children.
