Self discovery is the delight of fools. The world is very good at describing and labeling the personal problems we face, but it give no real solutions. Instead of self discovery, we need to diligently search out God's wisdom from God's Word that gives real solutions for the problems we face. Proverbs 18:2A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

Don't be guilty of despising God's Word. The word "despise" doesn't necessarily mean hate, it means failing to give proper attention. We are all guilty from time time of not giving God's Word the proper attention in our lives Proverbs 13:13Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

How do you experience blessing in your life? You could choose the path of sin, but that always come with painful side effects and consequences OR you could pursue the blessing of God with "no sorrow" added unto it. Proverbs 10:22The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

There is a promised blessing for those that listen to wisdom with the attitude of eagerness and expectancy...those that are watching daily at wisdom's gates and waiting at wisdom's doors. This is how we should approach the true source of wisdom... God's Word, the Bible. Proverbs 8:34Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

Your feet are speaking. The places you go and prioritize are sending a message to those around you. The question is what message are they sending? How do we experience God's wisdom in our lives? What is the one essential prerequisite for experiencing God's wisdom? Do we truly look to the Bible as our counselor? Or are we looking to the opinions of man? Are we truly finding our delight in God's Word? The Psalmist looked to God's testimonies as his delight and his counselors. Psalm 119:24 - Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors.

How silly, how foolish are you willing to look to praise and honor your God? David was willing to set aside what people might think of him as king in order to praise and serve the Lord because that was more important to him. 2 Samuel 6:22 - And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.

Though God's people provoked Him over and over again, yet He was faithful to them because of the "multitude of His mercies."Psalm 106:44-45 - Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry: And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.

Submit to God in your daily walk by asking Him questions. In our "self talk", we need to remind ourselves of all of God's blessings and benefits in our lives. It's so easy to forget! Psalm 103:2 - Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

It is God's will for the Christian to live estranged, separated, at odds with, the lusts of our flesh instead of accommodating those lusts and allowing them to define you. God goodness is "laid up" for those that fear Him! Psalm 31:19 - Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

God will always answer the prayer request for wisdom and direction in doing His will just like He hearkened to Manoah when he intreated the Lord for wisdom and instruction in raising his son.
