We have the privilege of Bob Osborne joining us as we begin a new series called Ghosts.   How do we understand ourselves, it is by understanding God.  How do we understand God, it is by understanding ourselves.  It is a cycle that begins by paying attention.  

It is 12 days after Christmas which brings us to Epiphany Sunday.  Epiphany Sunday tells the story of the Magi coming to worship Jesus.   David Harvey unpacks Matthew 2:1-12 reminding us that Jesus did not come for only one people but for all people.  

It is the final Sunday of Advent, where we light the peace candle.  David Harvey unpacks the genealogy and the story of Joseph from Matthew 1.  

This week our two lead pastors continue our series on Advent.  Christine Woods and David Harvey discuss what joy looks like in a world that is suffering and what it has to do with waiting.  

As we continue to journey through Advent we are joined by our justice partners Woven international.  David ,Jana and Andrew have a conversation surrounding Isaiah 11:1-10 and Matthew 3:1-8.  How does love impact the way we do justice

David Harvey and Phil Aud kick off our Advent series working through the lectionary readings of: Isaiah 2:1-5,  Romans 13:11-14 and Matthew 24:42-44.  Advent teaches us to acknowledge the darkness of this world but also there is hope and that hope is in Jesus.  

David Harvey finishes up our series preaching from John 14.   What is God's relationship with time and how does that affect the way we see time? How should we live if God is outside of time and asks us to hope in him.  

David Harvey continues our series , What God are we talking about?,  unpacking John 1.  How we view God will determine how we treat people.  If we think there is subordination between God then that will inevitably affect the way we treat our neighbour.  God is trinity and Jesus is fully God.    

Phil Aud continues our series, What God are you talking about, where he unpacks the trinity and what it means that God is love. In essence what does Jesus reveal to us about the Trinity.

We are starting a new series, What God are you talking about,  a series that is making sense of theology. God is a divisive word and generates a wide variety of opinions and reactions.  David unpacks how the early Christians made sense of God by looking at Jesus.  All theology begins and ends with Jesus. 

We are finishing up, The Age of  the Algorithm, series, where David unpacks Luke 2:41-52.  Jesus reversed the Eden story in which he puts his Father in the middle of the story rather than himself.  Jesus is doing his Fathers'_____ (fill in the blank.) Rather than trying to bolster ourselves up we need to be like Jesus and put God in the centre of the story.  

David Harvey continues our, Age of  the Algorithm, series preaching from Matthew 26:36-46.  We as humans have high expectations for ourselves the "Self-Help" industry has taken advantage of this.  What if God knows we are predictably going to fail and actually has grace for us when we do.  What if God has more realistic expectations of who we are as humans and we can rest in th...

We start our new series, The Age of the Algorithm.   David Harvey starts our series unpacking Genesis 2-3 on how humanity is predictable in its behaviour and how the algorithm is a reflection on humanity. 

It is Mission Partner Sunday and we finishing up our "Chase the Good" series with speakers from Next Step Ministries and Hands at Work.  David and our partners discuss how loving our neighbour is a direct reflection on how we love God.  Relationships are vital to brining healing and shalom to this world that is yearning for it.  

David continues our series on what it looks like to chase the good.   David unpacks Philippians 4:8 and how our habits orient us towards our main aim.   What if it is our desires and loves not our ability  to think that shape our habits and ideas of the good life?   

It is launch Sunday!  To set off the new year we are starting a new series called, "Chase the Good."  David unpacks the idea of choice and how we need to be intentional in what we choose to pursue.  

Tyson and David finish off our summer series, “World Upside Down” speaking on Acts 10:34-45. 

We are continuing our summer series in Acts. David Harvey unpacks Acts 10:1-48 and how God's love will take us where we don't want to go. 

We are continuing our summer series in Acts.  Phil Aud unpacks Acts 9:19-31 discussing how the journey of Paul alienates him both from his former community and his new Christian community. Often the journey Jesus calls us on means the feeling of loneliness and isolation but its not meant to be journeyed alone and we need community.

Special guest speaker, A.J. Jansen, joins us speaking on Pauls conversion and our perceptions of God. "What comes to mind when you think about God is the most important thing about us." A.J. unpacks how Jesus must be centre to our understanding of God.
