Acts 9:1-19 || Blind in our sin, Jesus lovingly interrupts our condition with His eye-opening grace.

Acts 8:26-40 || God calls us to rise and go in pursuit of leading others to Jesus and coaches us through this passage on how to do so effectively.

Acts 8:9-25 || To enjoy the free gift of God we must humbly come under the gospel and it’s power rather than over it or around it as a means to our own end.

Acts 8:1-8 || Because God is sovereign, in our suffering we have an opportunity to leverage our pain for the spread of the gospel.

Jesus is the true king whose righteous rule is worthy of our deepest love and allegiance, using His authority to govern, guard, and guide us with His goodness.

Jesus is the true high priest whose self-sacrifice alone can atone for our sin, forever making possible access to God's holy presence once and for all.

Jesus is the true prophet whose voice we desperately need to hear above all others, bringing God's Word to us by being God's Word for us.

As we enter advent we're reminded of what it means to live in the tension between the now of Christ's 1st coming and the not yet of His 2nd coming. We celebrate the light of the long-awaited messiah who has pierced our darkness, and yet, aware of the darkness that still remains, long for more.

Acts 6:8-7:60 || When ordinary people die to themselves, they radiate God’s glory with extraordinary impact.

Acts 6:1-7 || Because multiplication gets messy, establishing organized leadership & engaged membership is critical to minister effectively.

Acts 5:12-42 || Followers of Jesus face suffering for His name with a radiating joy.

Acts 4:32-5:11 || The gospel creates unified people, full of a radical generosity and honest transparency that, when threatened, must be protected.

Acts 4:23-31 || In a society steeped in credentials and technique, boldness with the gospel is not predicated upon these cultural qualifications but upon the power of the One who sends us.

Acts 4:1-22 || Our own joy from the gospel compels us with courage for the gospel. In the face of opposition we can't help but boldly speak about what we have seen and heard.

Acts 3:1-26 || The grace and power of Jesus meet us in our destitute condition, solving our search for temporary relief with the permanent remedy.

Acts 2:42-47 || What you are in awe of will fuel your devotion, and what you are devoted to will inevitably shape your life.

Acts 2:37-41 || When the truth of Jesus and the weight of our sin lands in us, we're cut to the heart. A holy anxiety over our condition propels us inward to repentance and faith and outward to baptism, resulting in the free, saving gifts of the gospel: forgiveness and the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:1-36 || Jesus sends the promised Holy Spirit to fill believers and demonstrate the power of His presence, thus signaling a new era in redemptive history and enabling the gospel to begin to radiate clearly to people from all nations.

Acts 1:12-26 || In replacing the 12th apostle we see Jesus' work of restoring what's broken begin. His new kingdom is breaking in, and it's not a political one vying for cultural power & material possession. Rather, God's restoration is a spiritual one, starting with repairing the fractured pieces of our own hearts & relationships and extending that outward into the fragmented world around us.

Acts 1:1-11 || Having received the gospel & experienced the risen Lord Jesus, we as Christ-followers are commissioned as witnesses to radiate that good news outward.

Matthew 6:13b || Heartfelt prayer can't help but erupt in praise. The consummation of our conversation is a declaration of God's good authority, enabling power, and supreme worth as we entrust all things to Him.

Matthew 6:13 || We end our prayer with pleas for deliverance from both the inner enemy of sin and the outer one of Satan, trusting as weak and lost people that such rescuing help has been provided in the sufficient, conquering power of Christ.
