In a world of deconstruction and doctrinal confusion it is common to feel spiritually disoriented, frustrated, and even desperate. Maybe your church experiences or personal failures have left you in despair before God. It seems like mental health has become an epidemic, why? Is it more common or are we just more aware of it than we used to be? We break down some of these questions today and how we can overcome health sustainably. 

If we do not serve a God who has all power and authority we are hopeless. If this were the case than Christianity would be waste of our time. Struggling with forgiveness is a very common issue. This is especially true of those who wrestle with addictions, trauma, and mental health. The secret ingredient to overcoming is not so secret. Jesus openly shares with us the power to overcome unforgiveness. 

Pride is one of the most devastating sins to our walk with Christ. In fact pride keeps us from God. Sin is sin, but sin that is rooted in pride can be like a weed with 80 foot roots. How does Jesus confront those living in pride? 

Working hard and receiving no appreciation can be demoralizing. But this does not need to be the case! We can have steadfast joy and peace while serving unnoticed, but this requires a changed heart. How does the Gospel change our perspective on serving? 

How do we know if we are being selfish or wise? Boundaries are not a bad thing and are even required in good stewardship... right? 

God's love is unconditional, but His grace is not. His grace must be received. God is always working on us and seeking to save us. However, when we do not respond, when we do not bear fruit, the time will come where we will have to reckon with our actions. How are you responding to God's grace? Do you live with a sense of urgency? 

It is easy to talk a good game, but do we follow it up with action? God confronts Israel with this in Exodus 24 and Jesus talks about this in Luke 12. I pray that in 2024 we become doers of the Word and not hearers only!
