The Way Church

We believe God’s equal, distinct, and complementary design of men and women define particular roles for the husband and wife that glorify Him, are good for them, their family, and the church, and that reflect the glory of Jesus' love for His church.

We believe that God created man and woman equal in every way with distinct characteristics that complement one another to the glory of God, for the good of His people, and the advancement of His Gospel.

Every Christian is baptized in the Holy Spirit from the moment of their conversion, and every Christian needs the filling of the Holy Spirit to live under His influence and by His power moment by moment.

We believe God gifts each member of His Church with His power for His glory, their good, and the advancement of His Gospel. We affirm, the Scripture provides no explicit statement that any spiritual gifts will cease before the Lord’s return, so we trust His wisdom to distribute gifts when, where, and how He sees fit

We will endure in a world where lament is necessary until the Lord returns and finally and fully fulfills our hope.

We are going to grieve, period. But, by learning the language of lament, we give voice to our grief in a way that honors God and finds His good in our season of suffering.

Sin is the source of our sorrow, but it is the promise of the Gospel that gives voice to our lament.

Lamenting is the expression of sorrow in which the depth of our mourning is matched by the intensity of our hoping

God is our all-knowing ever-present Creator who is intimately involved in every one of our days. Because He is, we can and should live like it!

We believe we have been saved from God’s wrath by God’s grace and power because of who He is not what we deserve

We believe that everyone God chooses to save is preserved by His persevering grace so that none of His people will ever be lost

We believe that God graciously regenerates everyone He chooses to save so that they can and will choose to trust Jesus and be saved

We believe that Jesus’ death atones for the sin of every person God sovereignly and graciously elects to save

We believe God has sovereignly and graciously elected every sinner who He gives to Jesus for their salvation

We believe God’s grace is necessary for salvation because the sinner is unable to come to Jesus on their own

We believe God mercifully saves sinners by His grace and for His glory

We believe that the Gospel gives us a new identity in Christ, a new rhythm to our life, and a new mission for Jesus fame. Therefore, we are passionate about being Gospel-Centered.

We believe the Lord’s Supper is a memorial meal of remembrance, communion, and hope that continues to make the Gospel known

We believe everyone who has made a credible profession of faith in Jesus Christ should be baptized

We believe that at a particular point in history the eternal Son of God took on the nature of man and in His incarnation is truly God and truly man forevermore

Because Jesus Christ has come, Christians should rejoice in the salvation He provides

In His coming: We are able to have peace with God and each other through the reconciliation achieved by the sacrificial death and atoning blood of Jesus Christ, The Prince of Peace.

In His Coming: Our hope is that the Son of God became the Son of men that we might become the sons of God.

We believe that Jesus will soon return as the righteous Judge and eternal King to finish the work of our salvation.
