Love for the Lord and love of the world are incompatible. Love for the Lord will displace our love of the world, and love of the world drives us away from the Lord.

The church starts with, grows in, and matures to greater faith in the Gospel. We don't need the Gospel plus something else, the Gospel is sufficient and when we think we are lacking, let's take another look at what we have been given in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

The love of Christ reflected among the members of the body of Christ assures us that we are abiding in the light of Christ

God forgives and cleanses sinners on the basis of Jesus' righteous testimony and His satisfactory sacrifice. In Him alone the Christian has hope for justice and mercy, forgiveness and fellowship, certainty and security, and a hope and comfort to offer to others.

God is light. He is pure. He is good. He is true. He is wholly holy. Because He is we can see our sin honestly, walk humbly, and stand before Him hopefully.

Jesus Christ, The Eternal Word of Life, came in human flesh to proclaim the message of Salvation; so that we could have fellowship vertically with God and horizontally with the Church in order that we would know, experience, and share complete joy.

Jesus’ people are not of the world but have been sent into the world to continue Jesus’ mission to those who have been given to Him. As central to our identity as our newness, unity, and holiness are, is the fact that we are a sent people.

Because God is holy, and because God has made us holy, we reside in the world, but we are distinct from the world. The same redeeming and reconciling work that makes union to Him and oneness with each other possible makes us distinct from the world. The divisions that already existed are further emphasized by His defining work.

Because the Gospel is true, while the world quarrels over positions of privilege, Christ’s people can revel in the certainty of God’s blessings

By the truth of the Gospel, we have been transformed, we are in the world but not of the world, instead, we are holy unto God. The question is, what should be done when holy people quit living holy lives?

Because of the Gospel, union with God in Christ and oneness with His people are ours to enjoy and apply for our good and His glory. There is no unity under heaven to be had apart from the Gospel. But, there is no divide under heaven so great it cannot be reconciled by the Gospel.

Because of who Jesus is, we, who were chosen for Him and have placed our faith in Him, are a new people in this world but no longer of this world

All people and things in creation are to praise the God of the Bible because He made the world and He is going to return to judge the world.

There are only two ways for every person. There is a path that follows God and His Word, and a path that follows the world.
