Spring planting is underway!!  Here's what I've noticed about my garden thus far.  

Now is the time of year to get those gently nurtured plants acclimated to the great out doors before you plant them.  Here's how I do it.  

Garden 2023 is well on its way.  I'm planning to add both Onions and Strawberries to the Potager Garden this year.  If you've been thinking about growing either of these, but don't know which varieties you should be growing, then this is the episode for you.   #onions #strawberries #potager

Chrysanthemum update: a couple of more chrysanthemums have started to sprout.  So that brings my total up to 11 varieties that survived this winter.     I review the seeds I started via winter sowing and traditional indoor methods.  I review bad batches of seeds, give my impression on heating mats, and seeding trays.      

Of the 26 varieties of chrysanthemums that I had last year only 9 maybe 10 varieties survived the winter.  Here is my theory of why, and what I'm going to do differently with the chrysanthemums this year.

There are over 3,600 varieties of tomatoes.  It's high time I determine what variety tastes the best.  If you've ever wanted to learn and understand tomato flavor profiles or you're interested in growing tomatoes but don't know where to start, then this episode is for you!!
