The Resurrection of Jesus is the most important event in human history. It vindicated His claims to be God, it sealed his victory over sin and death, and declared him King of kings.

Jesus does the unusual again. His triumphant entry is one of peace riding a donkey, not war astride a mighty steed.

Jesus Christ is the King of kings, the Anointed One, and He reigns supreme over all the universe. More than just a theological truth, Jesus’ anointing has powerful implications for all believers.

We learn quickly that when trusting God seems terrifying we need to relinquish control and choose to be faithful to God’s Promises.  Our faithfulness determines whether our trust is terrifying or glorifying!

The world teaches that there are two types of people: those who use other people and those who get used.  But God is not a pimp and Jesus teaches us not to live by that kind of “pimpology.”

Living in a broken and sinful world, we can find ourselves feeling hopeless, searching for answers. The Bible teaches us that there is one place to find hope: Jesus.

Choices always have consequences, and when we choose to sin the consequences are always painful. The Bible teaches there is only one choice that can save us from the pain of our sin.

Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived, but even a wise man can choose to ignore wisdom. The temptations of money, sex, and power proved too strong for Solomon, and he ended up the wisest fool who ever lived.

All that glitters was actually gold in Solomon’s kingdom. But all the wealth, splendor, and glory of Israel’s golden age was only a shadow of a greater future kingdom. One that will never end.

God's Warning

Prayer can be difficult. Knowing what to pray, how to pray, and believing that God will answer can be daunting. But prayer is also so easy that a child can do it. Maybe having faith like a child is the key.

God is far above and beyond the reach and understanding of man. But he is also nearer, closer and more intimate than we can imagine. This divine mystery was manifested perfectly in Jesus Christ.

There is a straight line from Isaiah’s prophecy to God’s gift of Jesus’ incarnation. His mission was to go to the cross, satisfying God’s justice and giving us a new relationship of love that never ends.

God had promised the gift of a savior for 4000 years before he finally arrived. The Messiah’s birth was in somewhat scandalous circumstances by the world’s standards, but His mission was to set every scandal right.

Our faith stands on a promise. The promise of The Messiah, The Christ.

Glory Of The Lord

The furnishings of a house are what complete a design, provide comfort, and make it a home. When God furnishes a house, he provides everything that is needed, along with intricate detail and beauty.

The building project continues with the details of Solomon’s palace complex, and if we aren’t careful this text can just become detail after detail. When in reality Jesus is all over the pages; if we look closely we will see that these verses point us to the reality that The Gospel is the greatest building project of all.

The greatest structure ever built was the house that Solomon built for the name of the Lord. Its greatness was not because of its size, beauty, or grandeur, but because of who would dwell there.

The greatest structure ever built was the temple Solomon built for the name of the Lord. But there is an even greater structure that God is building now, and we are called to be a part of it.

Jesus promised that the born again will enter the Kingdom of God. That Kingdom is both a spiritual rule in our hearts and his literal reign on earth. But what does His Kingdom look like?

The King's Wisdom

The Christian faith understands that life and people are complicated. The Gospel offers the answer that un-complicates both. It’s not found in dogma but in the person of Jesus.

The Bible teaches that the kingdom of God is serious business. The kingdom promises righteousness, peace and joy under the reign of Jesus Christ. But only for those who repent and believe in God’s anointed king.
