The final judgment of all unbelievers is before God’s great white throne. God will bring justice to the wicked, those who die without faith in Christ. Although a solemn passage, it is also filled with hope for the believer!

Jesus will establish a thousand year kingdom with His saints after His second coming. Satan will be bound, the earth will be filled with peace and joy, and then Christ will finally and forever judge Satan and his followers for their sinful rebellion.

The second coming of Jesus Christ is the hope of all believers, and it will be the greatest event in history. At His first coming Jesus was the suffering-servant Messiah. But at His second coming, the King of Kings will bring the fury of God’s wrath.

Revelation 19 begins with the celebration of God’s righteous judgment.  For many of us, it is difficult to reconcile the celebration of judgement because we connect it to people, but God’s judgment of sin is just and our perspective of justice is flawed.  It is only with a right perspective of God that we can understand the beauty of this passage.  God has avenged His saints and His glorious retur...

The world seduces people into chasing money, sex, and power to satisfy the deepest longings of our souls. But the Bible teaches these can never really satisfy and will all pass away with the world. We need something lasting and better.

Revelation has been called a “tale of two cities,” Babylon and Jerusalem. Babylon represents the sinful world that chases money, sex and power, and will be destroyed. But the New Jerusalem is promised to those who are faithful to Jesus Christ.

In Revelation 15-16 we get both the preview and the details of the seven bowls of judgement being poured out in the fullness of God’s wrath. Even in the midst of absolute chaos, the hope of redemption and the grace of God are on display until the end of time.

Sometimes people try to water down the importance and urgency of the Gospel. But the Bible clearly teaches that who or what you worship will determine your eternal destiny. The choice is yours, and you only get one shot.

Satan is a liar and the father of lies, who sends false prophets to deceive and coerce worship for himself. At best Satan can only imitate the true glory of Jesus Christ, and God’s wisdom helps us discern the truth from the lies.

In the last days Satan will try to imitate Christ. But Christ will be victorious and vindicate those who resist Satan’s lies. Speculation on the identity of the Antichrist is not our concern, but understanding how to tell the truth from the lie.

God has spoken to His people. Out of His grace, He has spoken in many ways from creation to the prophets, but now He speaks through His Son, The Word of God. The impact of this truth cannot leave us unchanged. This Christmas, how is He speaking to you?

The Christmas story did not begin in Bethlehem, but in Eden. It was there that God first promised a Savior to defeat Satan, sin and death. And the fulfillment of that promised salvation is certain.

This chapter introduces two witnesses tasked with prophesying about the things to come with complete and utter resistance from a world in complete rejection of the returning Christ. God empowers them to be untouchable until the completion of their mission. The reality of life is that everything changes and nothing is certain. But God never changes and His plan is certain. God reveals himself and his perfect plan in the Bible, so that we can place our trust in Him.

Satan is evil and powerful but is still under the authority of the Sovereign God. And although God is not the author of evil, He will use evil to judge evil, and thereby turn evil upon itself.

“How long?” is the question that has been ringing through the prayers of God’s people for thousands of years. In the opening of the seventh seal, we see God hallowing His name and judging the world in response to those prayers.

Revelation 7 is a very hopeful chapter as God reminds us that His redemption plan, Jesus, is still in motion; judgement is at hand but so is salvation. We see the 144,000 who receive the seal on their forehead, as well as those clothed in white, and read that “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” God is always able to reach His creation with His saving grace.

Lambs by nature are gentle and harmless. But in Revelation, the lamb that was slain pours out wrath on a sinful world that has defiantly rejected His offers of forgiveness, grace, and salvation.

The world has been plagued by conquest, war, famine and death since the Fall of man. The last century alone was the bloodiest in human history. But the worst is yet to come, when God’s wrath against the sin of mankind is finally unleashed.

The seven seals represent a property deed in Jewish culture. John weeps with a desire to see the full redemption of humanity but knows this cannot happen if the scrolls are not opened. Enter Jesus, the slain Lamb full of power and knowledge, seated in front of the scroll at the right hand of God. At this, all those redeemed have no response but to worship Him.

Some of the greatest lies from Satan are about heaven. He wants us to believe it will be boring, so that we will grasp onto everything we can in the present, and not live for the glorious eternal future that is promised.

He who has an ear, let him hear” is the phrase repeated in Revelation after each individual church letter. It means that hearers ought to “listen-up” and pay close attention to God’s Word and examine our lives in that light.

Revelation chapter two brings the first four of the seven letters written to real churches made up of real people. These letters bring both correction and encouragement for the church then and us today.

The last book of the Bible is less about when Jesus Christ will return, and more about how we are to live until He does. We are given a fuller and better picture of Jesus than any other book, and challenges us to live in the light of that reality.

Fear is the reason that many Christians avoid Revelation. It makes us uncomfortable because it speaks about the end times. But the purpose is not to promote fear, but faith, hope and courage.
