The Summit Church Denver

As we continue our series in Philippians, we learn how the cause of advancing the gospel is not individual but communal in nature, and how the church is meant to be this community through which the gospel is advanced.

The apostle Paul shows us that no matter our circumstances, we have hope. We have a hope in Christ that extends to life, death and beyond, and that hope impacts how we live our lives and who we live it for.

As we kick off our series in Philippians, we study what it means to really think deeply about our lives and examine what it is we're living for.

We see that the Resurrection of Jesus provides us a Hope today as we encounter the everyday trials of our life.

What if we saw interruptions in our life less as bothersome, and more as opportunities to share the love of Christ?

We look at a story of a prostitute meeting Jesus, and see what kind of sustaining change is produced in our lives on a daily basis after an initial encounter with Jesus.

As we see Jesus meet a Roman centurion, we get a glimpse into "how' someone actually receives what Jesus offers and how our faith in him begins.

As we see Jesus meet a tax-collector named Levi, as well as a group of religious leaders called the Pharisees, we see how the gospel confronts both irreligion and religion, and presents us with an entirely different way of living.

We kick off our first 2014 series by revisiting the vision and values of what has made The Summit successful in our first three years of existence. We begin by looking at what it means to be rooted in our city and the great gift of having a long-term vision for our lives.

Christmas gives us the confidence to believe in God more deeply, and nothing will make for a more fulfilling and enriching year than having a deeper faith and a greater confidence in who God is.

God speaks through Jesus taking on flesh and coming to earth. Despite our rejection of him, God gives us all a second chance to receive him through faith and have a relationship with him as his children.
