In life we probably all deal with different kinds of strongholds. Nahum 1:7 AMP The Lord is good, A strength and stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows [He recognizes, cares for, and understands fully] those who take refuge and trust in Him. We want to learn how to pull down the negative ones, and be safely in this stronghold of Gods love, peace and protection.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:23 it describes man as a three part being; spirit, soul and body. And we define our soul as our mind, will and emotions. Some of the biggest battles we may face are not external but internal, in our own minds.  How we think, choose and feel can transform our lives.

There are 2 kinds of strongholds we need to understand, in order to get free from the negative. So this is the safe stronghold we want to get to. But this is the stronghold many of us are stuck in:

Why we do what we do: Our vision: To see every life radically transformed by the power and presence of God. But….Transformation and Growth requires change! We don’t have to fear what God is about to do, or where He is taking us! God is a God who has a GOOD future for those who trust Him. Your value is not in the past you came out of, but in the future God has planned and set before you. So we MUST...

The Moses generation experienced tribulation trying to escape something. The Joshua generation endured persecution to embrace their promise! Not all persecution is equal! One is fear-based and the other was promise driven. One was running FROM and one was running TO. Fear is a bigger enemy to you than you realize!

Instead of running FROM all the pain and mess, we must run TO the safety of God’s presence in the middle of all the mess, by anchoring himself to WHO God is, and not just WHAT God does. He has promised us victory. We can run to that!

Many times we can do all the right things. We are praying, speaking scripture, tithing, counseling etc. But if the reason we are doing those is based on fear of losing or failure, we have the wrong foundation. The foundation to get victory always has to be based on faith of running TO what God has.
