As day one for legal tampering across the NFL hits the books, the Texans go on to make unbelievable pickups following day two filling positions that left prior to the start of free agency opening. The guys discuss the Texans new additions to the roster for the start of the 2024 season.  

As the free agency portal opened yesterday morning, regarding all the small gestures that we were signaling that players wanted to play here in Houston, yet the Texans signed no one day 1 of free agency. With some big names now off the board, the guys discuss was day one a loss for the Texans?    

Legal tampering across the NFL begins as the start of free agency opens this morning with lots of big names still left un-signed. Eyeing big names like Tony Pollard, De'Andre Swift, and Saquon Barkley the guys take time to discuss who would be the perfect fit for the back-position for the season. 

It's recently been reported from a former NCAA QB himself from Vanderbilt University, Mo Hassan, that he was approached by the Italian Mob during his tenure at the University and was asked to 'fix' games. Sean and Brian discuss is it possible for a whole conference to be considered rigged?  

One of the greatest college coaches of all time, Nick Saban speaks on what caused him to retire after this seasons loss to Michigan. After what was a great season for the Alabama head coach, he's spoken on what played a vital role in his retirement choice. Does the NCAA need NIL and the Portal?

As the franchise tag window closed yesterday, the Texans did not tag anyone this season. Nor did a few other teams such as the Bucs, the Eagles, and even the Cowboys. Which leads to conversations of who now will the Texans go after next in free agency to add to this teams superb roster.

Taking on the Marlins this afternoon, it's been recently reported that Justin Verlander has been placed on IL. As the start of the season slowly still approaches, the guys discuss should the Astros sign Blake Snell, Jordan Montgomery, or work through the bullpen until Verlander or France returns.

The NFL poses a new schedule for the start of next season by adding another week. Also, the league has hinted at possible rule changes applying to the kickoff and kick return for next season. The guys discuss what the league may look like moving forward with these prompted rule changes to the sport.

Over the weekend, the Astros took on the Nationals, Cardinals, and the Mets all which they emerged victorious against. Still, there's been no Verlander on the mound for the Astros as opening day closely approaches, however he threw a 60-pitch bullpen session, very vital to his return for the season.

Aaron Wilson joins the guys in the last hour of the show in talks of this years 2024 NFL Combine. Aaron shares what's the biggest need for the Texans this free agency and, who the Texans may be eyeing prior to free agency beginning. With a few big names mentioned, who will become a Texan next?

The NFLPA has released the league's report cards for each team regarding each of the different departments that contribute to the team. From the ownership, to the way the team diets and trains, all teams have been evaluated and graded. The guys discuss the evaluations and where the Texans fall at.

Yesterday, Justin Verlander participated in bullpen exercises for the Astros spring training although, has not taken on batters just yet, prior to the season just a few games away. Sean and Brian take time to discuss the concern moving forward with Verlander being set and ready for opening day.
